OK, so maybe he's a deposed king. He certainly had been a pioneer both in sampling and using computers in performance, since the early eighties. And stuff still sounds pretty good.

This Carl Stone character is "the king of sampling"? Bwahahahaha! Oh dear, you people have to get out more. Listen to some British underground and then decide who the king of sampling is.

http://www.gandb.tv Hello Carl. It's good to have you back on the air - at least in a sort of virtual, texty web like way. We look forward to seeing you back in LA some time soon. Avoid Karoshi if possible.

Hello Carl! I am glad someone is working on something interesting while the compose newsgroup argues about the death of tonality. I have started putting a romantic chamber work into my MIDI software which is interesting to me as I learn about about musical gesture than I knew at 20 (read: nothing) but am not playing with my random improvising software at all. Have fun! You see I have cancelled my web site. I never got one interesting contact from it in 10 or 12 years.

Carl, I attended your performance at REDCAT in Los Angeles a couple of years ago, and I just wanted to tell you it was fantastic. The evening was long (too many acts before you went on!) but the pay-off was magnificent. What a great set. When are you going to perform in the LA area again?
