I have Children of the Dark and I think your mistaking fantasy with reality. Isn't that the point of fiction and art? To take you as far away from your troubles as possible. In the theatre that is called the suspension of disbelief. You know it's not real, but you go along with it for the entertainment. This allows you to cry at the end of the movie, even though you know it's not real. Pussy Willow, Perhaps you have some ideas that would help improve on a bad site. I find I do not criticize ones work, rather explain how it can be done better. That is how everyone learns. losers I take on the benefit of the doubt. I'm making an exception for you. Now, the real prize: The Catty Goth Page Lets see... We have one opening page that has a slightly modified image from a Japanimation movie that they call "original artwork," along with a few mediocre image hyperlinks to all their little playrooms. Playroom number one was a "joke" in poor taste called "This Week's". When I was here, "This week's" was RaGe, who happens to be a friend of mine. They take direct quotes from her page, and even an image, which is sufficiently illegal to result in having a page revoked. Also, she insulted some very basic beliefs of the person, including a claim of immortality. How does she know? I've been hit by a bus (thank you very much), along with being shot in the neck and falling off a thirty foot cliff onto solid rock. While I make no claims of immortality, I'm beginning to wonder... The other rooms were your standard "look at us, we're better than all you losers out there" vanity pages, with nothing of any creative metrit to actually warrant my time spent visiting this page. And of course, they have a "Credits/ Disclaimer" page that says "take a joke!" while giving absolutely NO credit to ANY of the people they've stolen images and quotes from. I have half a mind to report them to goth.net for this. Oh, and one more thing... If you think I'm insane enough to leave my URL, you have the IQ of a cat...I'm not becoming "This Week" next week, since you'd probably do that, even though my page is game-oriented. |

Your page lacks it all. Ugly bright red fonts, broken graphics, cliched graphics, many words with no content, no variations at all from any other vampire page, long and tedious, very very tedious at that...let's see, what else? Oh yes, poorly designed, badly set up(i suppose that goes under poorly designed, no?), annoying to navigate, bad bad bad color scheme(here's a tip Mr. Webmaster, if you MUST use ugly bright red fonts, DO NOT leave your links blue!), in fact, your page lacks any and all value. Both artistic and otherwise. <br> At least the catty goths' page has a decent color scheme that's not hard on the eyes, and their graphics at the very least APPEAR to have taken more than the 2 seconds it takes to save a graphic off someone else's page and modify it slightly in Microsoft paint! <br> In plain English: Your page stinks. Well, let's put it in plain english so you don't have too many problems translating this rant into your gothy buzzwords. Get your subcultures out of my petrie dish before I get happy with the antibiotics, kids. You don't need a label to make yourselves real. (Damn, but I'm saying this a lot lately...) Goth? What is goth, exactly? Here, I'll tell you: It's a label. That thing you all probably spent your youths whining about. "He's labeling me this or that"... now you do it yourself, then you can't understand why the rest of us label you... and ridicule you... For the most part, you live your daily life based on arbitrary decisions of what does and doesn't fit into your cute little subculture. You listen blindly to what others (especially those who are "bigger" goths than you) tell you "is" or "is not" goth - and fall into line with little or no question. You whine about wanting to be an individual, then walk directly onto the assembly line where hundreds of others just like you are being processed into your paradigm. Semantics and appearance are all that separate you from the average blind pedestrian, strolling through life with blinders like the christian slave who believes he will see salvation simply because he goes to church every sunday. Hopefully you can see your hypocrisy by now. Just in case (I know some of you can be rather dense and fanatical... much like southern baptists and nazis...) I'll break it down: You are elitists who judge everything that is not like yourselves, and/or like you want to be. Individuality is as great a crime in your subculture as it is amongst right-wing fascists... Hitler would be proud of you. Yet you are worse, because you, on the same hand, scream and whine about your supposed individuality... which is, in reality, a collective identity you've sold your souls to. A truly sad social condition. The cure? It's simple. Be yourself. Don't submit your own mentality to the depths of repression because it doesn't fit in with the collective illusion. Then you'll find the closest thing to salvation that exists in this world: Happiness. It's great... it really is. I'm sure I'll regret writing all this, especially once I start getting what I'm sure will be uninventive, generic "fuck off" responses... but if at least one person thinks for themselves after reading this, it will have been worth my time and effort and much more. ~Inquisition of the Mind~ |

less individual identity than most goths make out, but most 'Goths' make it their own, each separatly standing out, adding something asthetically to society, malignant mold can be pretty. Isn't scaffolding ugly? Propping it all up, doing a great job, but really quite poo looking! It can also come crashing down when its nuts get loose. | Comments: | I wonder how I feel today I’m not really sure on how I feel today, I am a little bit pissed off but not to bad yesterday I was about to blow up so I am sick of having these outbursts it makes me so mad and upset and its just not fare.
I wish that I could be normal but it is just not in the cards now is it. This fucking sucks it is getting worse and worse. I am getting more depressed by the days. Every little thing will trigger an attitude. I am the only one that feels this way everyone thinks they know how I am but they don’t they are just trying to make me shut up. Just like that stupid doctor she is full of shit the only reason why she talks to me and seems interested in it is because she is getting paid for it. I never really understood of the meaning of bipolar or depression. They don’t make sense and I never thought that I would turn out this way. I thought I was going to get better but no that will never happen I am stuck with this shit. And I don’t want to take medication for it because then I will just feel stupid. Its bad enough I have to go to that mental health place and see all the fucked up people there. I am not no where near as bad as them fuckers. I wish Peggy was here maybe then I would be a lot happier. She was like my mom and she always gave me advise. So now I am stuck with this problem. So I have to over come this by myself like usually. I have been this way as far back as I can remember except when I was living with Peggy and I don’t understand that either. I am not getting the whole purpose of why I am like this. I will always have this problem and I wont understand it. I have so much shit going wrong with me its not even funny. People piss me off so god damn bad. I will not go to church anymore I will not tell anyone about my problems and so what I am saying is fuck anyone who asks me what’s wrong. Because they can all go fuck them selves. I listen to my depressed music and I love it and I wont stop listening to it either. Here’s another thing I am not bringing my god damn bed to Amy’s either because that is not my fucking house I do not live there so my bed is not being brought there I hate be home I hate being at grandma Betty’s house I hate being at Amy’s house I hate being anywhere where there is people. I don’t care what Amy says I would be a lot better off if I was alone. Jon is trying to understand me and I don’t want him to he is not worth my time. I want to be with Ian. He is the only guy worth my time. He might treat me like shit but who fucking cares right there will never be a good guy that will treat me good because they are all assholes. Jon says he loves me and he has feelings for me and all I told him was I didn’t give a flying fuck what he thinks about me because he is not worth my time. He thinks he’s bad ass when he is not shit. I am just really irritated right now. I don’t know why I am but I just am. So many people try to figure me out they say they already know but they fucking don’t. There all full of shit. That’s all I had to say so leave me the fuck alone. |
