Hi Christina Varga, My name is Steven and I am 17 and I am aspiring and looking forward to owning a successful art gallery. I was wondering if it is not too much to ask, how much money does Varga Gallery earn monthly (Is it financially stressful?).
I have watched and taken thorough notes on all your videos on how to own a successful art gallery and they are very inspiring to me and I hope to own a gallery as successful as yours someday. You have said that of course the lighting in an art gallery is the most important thing and I had an idea about putting solar panels in a gallery someday so that there won't be an electricity bill and you could really push the boundaries of lighting(different colors ect.) Thank you so much and if you have time in your busy schedule PLEASE email me @ Yachtmaster392@sbcglobal.net!
Thanks, Steven |

Hi Sabra!
The first time I heard from you was a 1,000 years ago! or at least, July of 1988! 20 years! Yeesh!
I saw your drawings/cards somewhere and called and wrote you, we corresponded for a while. I was to come to the east coast then and we were to meet (as I read your letter here), but I didn't get there.
So, now with the Internet... having unearthed a file with your name on it and all you sent... how are you?!?!?!
I'm still in Colorado, with a few journeys back to Nebraska since then. I'm still speaking, a Professional Organizer too now (see website www.drdeclutter.com), seeking to break into the women in agriculture/agritoursim market soon (www.simplyfarming.com)... still writing - have tons of books to get done... ahhh, for the pressure of REAL deadlines!
Catch me up! Good to see you out there!!!
Blissings,
Kim

Hello Ms. Vargas,
I am a art doll artist looking to reach collectors and gain exposure for my one-of-a-kind creations. I am interested in how one applies for possible consideration to exhibit their work at the Vargas Gallery. I would greatly appreciate it if you would take a look at my website (please refer to link below), particularly at the character dolls and shadow boxes.
Should you find my work to be of sufficient merit, I would truly appreciate your considering me for an upcoming event. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Thank you for your time and consideration in this matter.
Sincerely, Lillian Alberti

Hi Aurora:
This is Fenner's dad, Mar,
Saw your work recently at Varga and was very much impressed. In some ways your focus and attention to detail reminds me very much of the Tibetan artist Romio Shrestha, who I had the pleasure of meeting for dinner.
He often does large work at his studio in Katmandu using a brush no larger than 3 cat hairs. You can search on Amazon for his books, some of which are more than 2 feet tall.
I hope your health issues are resolved and wish you much success at your opening.

Anthony Cantone's work is unique and quite wonderful. at first the work struck me as very playful, full of joy, but the more I see Cantone's work I feel the undertones that accompany the playfulness of. The undertones give a depth that draws you back to look again. |

I love this work!
Would you please consider donating a piece of work for the Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary? The benefit is taking place on May 19th.
As an artist, I know we are often asked for artwork. However, the Sanctuary Board of Trustees has tried to make this benefit more enticing to the donating artists by ensuring they receive ample publicity. Your generosity of heart will enable an abused animal to live a different life, one of benevolence and peace.
Please read through the information.
I hope you will join me in donating a piece of your work for this worthy cause.

The Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary, located at nearby Woodstock NY, is holding the Art Benefit fundraiser at the famous Jivamukti Yoga School in NYC Saturday May 19th from 7:00 PM to 10 PM.
The Woodstock Farm Animal Sanctuary (WFAS) is a non-profit organization and shelter that works to end the systematic abuse of animals used for food. At the heart of their mission is the hands-on work of rescuing, rehabilitating and caring for the farm animal refuges—as well as educating the public about the horrific treatment of animals who are raised in large, industrial factory farm systems.
The proceeds from this important fundraiser will go towards the care of neglected, abused and discarded farm animals living at the Sanctuary and will help in the cost of rescuing and placing others. The outreach and promotion for the event will be mailed directly to over 6,000 people, many who are interested in supporting the arts. The event will also be widely publicized.
If you are willing to offer an art work or object d’art the organization will reciprocate your generosity by showcasing the works and contact info of participating artists at their oft visited website www.woodstocksanctuary.org See past works of art by following the link. Artists are encouraged to provide business cards, or postcards of upcoming shows, which will be displayed next to their individual contributions. Submissions are tax deductible.
We encourage and welcome you to visit WFAS during their hours of operation (Sat & Sun 11-4) and meet some of the animals who will benefit from your generous support. And come to the Benefit (no charge for participating artists) at the Jivamukti Yoga School, 841 Broadway, 2nd Floor, New York City on May 19th. Visit www.woodstocksanctuary.org for more information.

Around 1975 I bought a note card with a drawing and few lines, inlcuding "if you come to visit me, I will even sing to you." I have carried this card and that idea around with me for more than 30 years. Today I did a Google search on "Sabra Segal," and -- well, oh my. I am a fiction writer with two characters who are artists. Sabra's art resembles what I have always seen in my mind as my favorite character's. I will be in the region this summer. I would like to visit the gallery. |

Beautiful work. I see your paintings and I want to see more. I like the energy you put in the form and the color -makes me want to sing with the softness of Roberta Flack and the playfulness of Bjork. Modern yet connected to the spirit, unlike the angst of the new century. I love it.

A prolific and exciting artist, Lisa Beth Older, a lawyer in nyc, whose art name is her married name Lisa Beth Ohrn, was represented in the past by the Varga Gallery on pieces she painted for certain group shows.
Lisa Beth Older's agent is Janeric who is responsible for the magnificent framing design. He has noted that "I have had the pleasure of attending two of her other shows where she was shown with such luminary artists as Anthony Krauss and Anthony Cantone and her work stood out and held its own." Two of the shows were "Summer Love" and "Horse of another Color".
Lisa Beth Ohrn will be exhibiting her art at the Bank of America Woodstock New York branch between September 19, 2006 and October 9, 2006. Lisa Beth Ohrn is also being featured in a new article which will likely be published in a prestigious art magazine in Long Island by renowned author Tad Wise, author of Testla and "Circling the Sacred Mountain, a collaboration he wrote with Robert Thurman, father to Uma Thurman.
Recently the artist created a series of paintings entitled America's most influential and beautiful mothers. Featured in this series were Hillary Clinton, Angelina Jolie, Melania Trump and Madonna. Recently she delivered a piece to Donald Trump, in honor of the birth of their son, Baron.
Presently she is being commissioned to paint for celebrities and other art clients and was invited to apply to become a member to the prestigious National Art Club, founded in 1896.
When asked what inspires her as an artist, Lisa Beth responded "Only God knows what reflects my creative thought process. Usually I start with a subconscious image, something from the past. My technique, if I have one, is more about mathematics, addition but mostly subtraction of ugliness into a thing of beauty and dimension. I have begun to find peace and a feeling that life has something good to offer me. I paint for myself because I have to, having no regard for social convention. I work in a state of freedom, uninhibited, when I enter this sacred inner room filled with excitement and let my hands flow over the canvas as they like. Paper or canvas becomes important to me and my colors take precedent. I sprawl over anything when I get the urge to draw. My brush strokes are sometimes gentle and sometimes aggressive and in a trance-like state, out of reach from outer stimuli in close contact with the omniscient, things evolve beyond my control beyond my rational mind. I know when I am done, a peacefulness that always eludes me returns for just a minute or two; I have now found my little peace of heaven and I invite you to come and visit sometime."
Lisa Beth Ohrn's work can be currently viewed at the Bank of America exhibit in Woodstock, NY. Her next show is at the Mezzaluna in Saugerties New York in October 2006. There is a great demand for her work and her piences are selling to private collectors. Many of her pieces are in private collections, but are available through lithograph.
Other paintings are exhibited at the Ohrn-Studio Gallery in Saugerties New York.
Some of Lisa Beth Ohrn's latest work can be found on her new on line studio gallery at www.lisabethohrn.com. or call Janeric.
This great, fun, and visionary self-taught painter is inspirational, priced right and highly collectable. We will see much more of her work in the months to come. Stay posted and keep loving art.

Hello, Anthony. We never did make it to lunch, did we?
I must say this sculpture doesn't leave too much to the imagination - not too subtle, is it? For the last five years I have been heading the English department at Bryant & Stratton College in Albany. Music and acting have taken a back seat to my trying to educate a diverse population about the importance of the English language. I trust all is well with you and that you are your usual, positive self. |

Su,
I saw your paintings in the catskill lodge during the rain-drenched Hunter Mt. Irish festival.Quite an interesting evening of people (and mouse) watching! You expected to be scheduling a SoHo show; thought I'd find out if you now knew when it was. Always looking for a reason to go into the city!

I'd like a better definition of you of pornography and art. In the arts we have the definition of beautiful bodies all through arthistory. In your room 1 we could not help but feel it's pronography. Are you aware of it? You said you had a degree in marketing. If you really do, why play the pornshop? Its all still joking for we love you doing artwork, in whatever respekt here in Woodstock.

Christina, I learned of your work at St. John the Divine. I was deeply moved and checked out your site. Wow. The Varga Triptych is amazing. I am a spiritual healer and medium, poet and lyricist. I also have some amazing photos and not knowing what to do with them wanted to see what you think. Jesus Christ is in the center of the clouds along with Ben Franklin and Mary. I know this photo is a miracle and would like to share it. I also wanted to know if you sell photos of the varga triptych. It moved me so much because years ago I knew not of Mohammed and he came to me and then Jesus and then the Buddha. I write essays and they are in a combination of guides I call "Spirit Life".I think yo |
