My name is Susan, and I recently lost my dad to cancer, age 85. While we had him a long time, it was not an easy passing, and I stayed at Hospice Life Care Center with him for six days, probably the most precious of my life. His mem serv is this Friday, Jan 9, and I am reading two selections: Sea Fever by John Masefield because he loved the sea so much, and also, The Next Place, which a hospice nurse gave me the lead on. I am very sorry about your Mom. I have a special memory of her that I would like to share with you. I know the last time I saw her at your 25th wedding anniversary she did not remember this. But when we all lived on Co. Rd. 15 in Plymouth, she made rock candy several times. It was such a neat thing. I remember the box it was in and how she handed out a piece to all of us that were there.
