| Comments: | Milk the main ingredient in cheese comes from a variety of sources thus creating different qualities of cheese. But if it wasn't for the curdeling of milk it wouldn't be the mold we love today.
The curd is cut into small cubes and heat is applied to cause a shrinking effect which will change it into rice size grains. The curd grains are allowed to mat together to form large slabs. They are milled and salted to add flavor and to help preserve the cheese. Later it is packed in various sized containers for maturing. Interesting? |
