Rosies closed earlier this year. It re-opened using the rear entrance as th "Residence" in July. It is a private club, entrance via membership only.
I know a couple of people who have been in, they say it is very nice but not busy. I know loads of people who haven't been offered membership and not may who have. So I guess it will either stay very quiet or fade away. So no prospect of Rosies coming back any time soon. | |

So I have heard Steve. Well for the Record the Jay family have owned the building for decades, and Peter ran Rosies before Trigger and Mop took it over.
As I said I haven't seen any lights on at the weekend nor seen any advertising yet so I'm dont know for sure. If it is a private club and run anthing like the original 151 Peter ran in the early 1980's then it should be good. We will wait and see..... | |

Just to Clarify This website has nothing to do with the club itself now. It was originally run by the club wen Trigger and Mop where there and taken over by Chicsystems in 2003.

We had a great St Patrick's night at the Wrestlers Inn but the pub was not big enough for the venue. The Loerbreakers played well, some irish jigs on the fiddle and just great old and new irish music on the guitar too. It was over-crowded and alot of people left, so i got to thinking of Rosies. Is there someone that could lease Rosies as an Irish club? I couldn't believe how many irish people are resident in Great Yarmouth,Gorleston and surrounding areas. It would be a great place for all of us Irish to meet and all you English would be welcome too. Someone out there must have some money to put to good use, even Peter Jay might be interested! So Sorry! to hear Rosies is closing, where will all the holidaymakers go now? Zen is just not the same, you could do whatever you liked at Rosies it was a great chill out place to be. Trigger left and it all went down the pan get Trigger back and you could have a great nightclub again. If it is permanently closing what are you doing in the building for the future, i hope it's not going to be a casino, Yarmouth already has one. I think your making a mistake! Rosies should be for over 18's [not over 21's] You should bring back kareoke from 10pm to 12pm always popularto get a crowd in.Then run the nightclub from 12pm to 2am [not 4am] too late. Well! you know what's wrong don't you TRIGGER HAS GONE bring him back and the club will be full again, he is a great Dj and manager. If you play 60's 70's 80's 90's and 2000's music throughout the night you will get young and older people in the club. Talent nights and theme nights are popular, give it a go! Think the whole under 21 thing is out of hand to be honest, I'm 25 and being asked for ID and my fella doesn't have any as he has never been asked for it before and then to get it its will takes weeks and also money. I like rosies and enjoy the music and people but the bouncers could be abit nicer to people as no need to be so rude to us as we help keep him in his job!
