bobbie sue [e] Good morning, I am writing to ask about your companion pets. My sweet, small female chow, ShaoShao,was abandoned in Idaho before I adopted her. She was an adult though she weighed only 36lb. I cannot understand how anyone could do that as she was show quality. Again & again during our daily walks for nearly 7 years, neighbors would say how beautiful she was. But, this January, she died of melanoma in the larynx. There is no day/evening thatI do not miss her. And, I hope that I would rescue another chow perhaps by the Fall of this year. Yet, because she was so well formed, she has set a standard by which I judge other future chows. I found your website and so, I ask you the above question. Thank you for your reply. I am a chow breeder from Sweden and I check hips and elbows before breeding and only breed from HD clear and preferably ED clear stock. Would be interesting to hear your experiences in this.
