| Comments: | I thought I signed your guest book long ago - apparently not. My first marathon was Lost Dutchman and I remember so well coming up on you at, maybe, mile 10 or so. Only later did I discover you were a regular participant in the Runners World forums. (You may remember me as N3103F. :) )
I refer to your marathon page often, and always take inspiration away from it. I've run 29 of them now, several chosen because of a favorable report and great pictures on your page. I've got 21 states down, four continents, and it's rare that I run one without thinking of you at some point along the way. I hope things are going well for you, Chuck. May the best of things be yours. David |

| Comments: | Oh, Chuck & Jan -
I'm reading in The Answer Is 42 about the reptilian brain & chocolate-seeking. Guess what - chocolate is beyond reptilian: http://www.rinr.fsu.edu/summer2005/features/coverstory.html "lighting up the brain’s 'pleasure centers' in much the same way that eating chocolate, sniffing cocaine or even having sex does." FYI Cindy |

| Comments: | In a past life I used to attend the Andrews Avenue Church of Christ. We became acquainted about when you had your accident & had the amputation. You would take the bus, I'd pick you up & drive you wherever. I had a daughter from a marriage I had escaped. I was a teacher.
Then I got married & moved to central Florida - St. Cloud, to be exact. You got out of counseling & into airports. You came & saw my husband, Lloyd Olson, & my child at our house. Your discipline amazes me. I am glad you have found yourself a wife. Would you two please e-mail me & I'll continue. Cindy Weatherred Chamberlain (I'll tell you where Olson went later) |

| Comments: | WOW! 50 and DC!! Big congrats to you! You continue to amaze me!! I am back trying to racewalk again, although very slowly, but saw your site and wanted to say hi! Also loved the concert photos. I have a bunch on my own site of Heart, as while I was not racewalking, I began attending many of their shows across the country...and had the opportunity to meet them twice in person as well.
Take care-- Sara |

| Comments: | If I haven't said it before, I'll say it again loudly and clearly: thank you so much for sharing your accomplishments and accompanying struggles. This 50-marathon-state aspirant has benefitted greatly from the time and effort you take to document these marathons in great detail. Your summaries are nearly as valuable as travelogues as they are as race reports and reviews. |

| Comments: | Hello Chuck,
As our first snow of the year hits us today (Nov 14/05) in WINTERpeg, Manitoba, Canada, I have just spent the last 1/2 hour or so looking over your great site. I really enjoyed it. Have not taken the time to read many of your comments, I quickly went through your races and enjoyed your pictures. I will spend time this winter reading your reports. I am just a rookie in marathons compared to you. I have run 13 so far with my last 2 being Fargo and Tampa Bay. I plan to run L.A. this March and Fargo once again next May. I was lucky enough to run a marathon in Germany, (Frankfurt) 3 years ago. Would love to see you add a Canadian Marathon to your list. The National Capital Marathon in Ottawa is one that I can highly recommend. (ran it 2x). thank you for your site. Keep running strong and proud. Alan Hopkins Winnipeg, Canada |

Amazing feat (no pun intended!)!! Are you still running marathons? I am also trying to run the 50 states and DC. I have done 9 states so far (14 marathons overall) and after reading stories like yours I get really excited to get out there and do some running. You are an inspiration to all of us who enjoy marathoning and living life to its fullest. Congratulations! Peace, Marco |

I just found your web site; I really like the way you set it up. I’m planning on running a marathon in every state. I lost my 28year old son to diabetes and I decided to run a marathon in every state to raise the awareness to the warning signs. You are truly an inspiration to me. Keep up the good work. Sincerely, Jim |

Well, well. I have learned something about you. And I am impressed. You had mentioned marathon info on your website but we never got around to clarifying it. Humm. Quiet waters run deep. I also checked out the TCPC link. Perhaps we can share another time to sit and talk about this too. I really enjoyed the time spent at the Il Piccilo. Good company, good food. |
