Was looking for address (have misplaced my personal address book, which has the address inscribed from past years- it's THAT important)for Wiregrass so I can get the mail out today so it will get there Thursday. (If you know camp, that sentence makes sense to you) Your memories pages make me cry! My kids have both attended, (as I inferred, one is there now) and I even had the fantastic experience of working one week of camp there. Have you ever thought of doing an Arcadia Publishing book on Camp Wiregrass? I know the site was a lot of work, thanks so much for doing it! |

| Comments: | I have never been to your camp during a session. But I was able to be there for a family reunion last year on Labor Day Weekend 2006. And we will be there again this year for the same thing. It was a blast & hope we to can make many more memories there. We also have a Christian campground in Baker, Florida and we are just really getting ours going. We have camped there also with the church but we have to use campers and tents, we only have a kitchen and pavilian right now. Thank you for being able to use your facilities for memories are being made from our family reunions. |

My brother Kevin Sherwood is in several pictures from the 70's. My husband Dale and I have been taking our son Braden since he was a baby - and he was awarded Camper of the Week last year - obviously he loves camp as much as we do! We will be back at camp this summer and we will bring our other 2 children to start their camp experience! |

I actually took my 3 girls to visit tonight. They are not old enough to go, but I want them to get the fever. I attribute most of my becoming and remaining a faithful christian to Camp Wiregrass. I love that place and now that I have children, I want them to experience camp. In a world that has changed so much it is wonderful to have a place like camp that will always be the same. |

A friend emailed me the link to your site and let me tell you, looking at these pictures has greatly blessed today for me! I think my heart lives at Wiregrass during the time I'm not there (the "off season") and I only find it when I return. It really is almost bittersweet to think about the coming sessions with so much anticipation--it seems like we wait for so long, but yet I snap my fingers and another summer has already come and gone! | Comments: | I attended Camp Wiregrass every summer for a week with Gateway Church of Christ. That was back in the mid-eighties and I have many wonderful memories of that camp. I loved being a Pueblo girl! Fun times were had going over the swinging bridge near the chapel. Some of my favorite memories had to be skit night at the chapel or playing wink 'em at the pavilion with the boys! I loved the old Mess Hall, where we would sing "Get your elbows off the table...go forth and face your lover..." I miss those rolling hills! |

My "week" was always around July 4, and although it's been several years since I last visted, I can still hear the night sounds that engulfed me as I slept on the "porch" on my cot.
