chelsea To be honest, I don't really think I should have to justify the reason I play music to anyone but me, BUT. . . This band has been my life for the past five years. I have been singing and playing various instruments my entire life. My father was also musician. The few memories that I have of him involve music. Playing music fills a void that cannot be filled by anything else. I go into the practice room all wound up and stressed out, and come out feeling soothed. Music is very therapeutic to me. The reason I/we took time off last year was because we needed a break from what our musical experience turned into. As soon as we had some success on our hands, many people started to "pick away" at us (and then be nice to our face). Labels were asking us to change things. I used to want to make a living playing music. I guess I was never willing to do ANYTHING to get there. A lot of people have NO IDEA what I have been asked to do for a label deal. Did I do it - NO! I have NO desire to be a part of something that takes something so special to me, and turns it ugly. Frankly, I don't give a s*** what you think of me or the music we play. It is, and always has been, something beautiful and special to me.
