We have 5 kitties in our home and all of them are recue kitties. 3 of them are siamese and one is a Russian Blue. She was found in a hospital parking lot in Chicago. The 5th kitty is a mix with long fur and beautiful eyes. I love seeing all your pictures. I would love to have one of your kitties someday but 5 are enough. She was a lost little girl and we fed her outside, she absolutely would not come near us. After watching her get bigger and bigger, we guessed that she was pregnant. Well, she did disappear for 2 days in the late winter early spring of 2008 and as soon as it stopped raining I followed her and found the spot where she had her babies hidden. Well long story short, we got 3 cages. One for our house and 2 for the outside to catch the little buggers. After testing our nerves, finally we caught the kittens and after 2 weeks of patience, caught the mother who we had named Shadow. I have become very interested in this breed and love our 2 little ones dearly. Your Wed Site is lovely and I look at it often simply to look at these lovely cats. | |

I want a kitten that looks like "Mandy Rei", your blue mackrel tabby. I have esentially two cats, one Persian I own, whom is an indoor cat and a borrowed Norwegian Forest Cat that visits me nightly for his "sleepovers". He belongs to my neighbor and has become a local celebrity. Artits have painted and photographed him and our neighborhood has made "Buster" our neighborhood mascot. He is very loving and social and enjoys visitng all the neighbors in the area,especially women. He visits people in the local hospital, by sneaking in the back door. His owner is often called to catch him and take him home. His claim to fame is saving me from a burgalar and riding around town with me on my electric handicap scooter. He enjoys campaigning with me for enviromental causes. He gets angry and yowls when I take him home to his owner if I am going to be campaigning in a high traffic area. When I became ill for a year and had liver surgery he was my constant companion,he stayed with me so often that his owner thought he was dead. We did not know each other then. When she found out "Buster" had temporarily relocated, she was angry. Needless to say he caused some conflict between us,but we worked it out and now laugh about how we were arguing over a cat like he was a real human man whom scammed meals from us. He is on a "diet" now and wears a tag that says"Do NOT FEED". Buster has made me a NFC devotee and I would like a NFC of my very own,a female to live indoors with Moushka, my lovely silver tabby persian. | |

| Comments: | Dear Cheryl, All the kittens are just too cute! Your friends are great photographers. My vet reccomends neutering at 6 months and Moki was born 3-18-07. He is from MacCha Skog (breeder Heidi Herman) near Denver. His mat grandpa is Ouijakatz Comet of LostWoods. Maxx and McGee are about 28 months and doing well. I seem to always have a comb in hand when I watch TV in the evening and whoever hits my lap gets a brushing! I figure a girl would be most easily accepted by the boys plus I always had girls in the past and I figure this will be my last kitten. I would prefer not to drive to Nebraska in the winter so the alternative of waiting for everyone to visit or move to AZ sounds good. I have continued to follow your website since I first contacted you in Jan or whenever it was. Let me know how your plans work out and if/when you need a deposit (although I think that better be entrusted to snail mail) I think the problem is with cnetco my provider, but I can't solve the problem - the site I go to says I'm unblocked, but it isn't so. I have one Black and white Norwegian Forest Cat named ZIP (I know, stupid name. But I was only 3 at the time) And now stuck together like glue Heres how the story started... I complained to my mom and dad I wanted my own cat cause our other two cats were not that social. So we went to PETCO and found many kittens. But I saw a large cat (back then I liked BIG) and just fell in love with him. He had the most green eyes i'd ever seen and his fur was a soft as silk. My parents tried to tempt me into buying a kitten, but my mind was made up! Three days we decided to buy him. I held him first, and boy he was big and heavy. Dad said he was a big furball of junk (how insulting!) and now here I am . 11 years old reading a book and looking at a pitchure of a cat that looked just like zip. I have always been a cat fancier, and have had several different breeds. About two years ago, my wife and I adopted a new kitty from a lady who was a resident at the nursing home where my wife worked. She was leaving the home, and couldn't take the cat with her. I did not know what breed he was, and mistakenly thought he was a Maine Coon Cat. After some research, I discovered that he was a Norwegian Forest Cat. His name is "Patches". He is beautifully marked, with large white and burnt orange markings. He has a beautiful white mane that thickens in winter. His tale is a gorgeous, thick burnt orange. The vet thinks that he is now about seven years old. I have read that Weggies aren't necessarily lap kitties; my boy is. If I am sitting watching TV, he will curl up on my lap for hours. My wife loves Patches, but I believe that I am his "person." He also likes music and will sit on top of my piano while I play. Patches is a real joy. We also have a dog, and they get along pretty well. The only time there is a problem is when the dog gets in Paches face! I wish that I had discovered this breed years ago. My boy is an absolute joy. If anyone is on the fence whether to get a Weggie or not, take the plunge--yopu won't be sorry!!! |

He is about 20 pounds of mostly muscle, buff in color. Personality plus, loves fruit, and to climb on top of everything and anything in the house. He is a neutered male, 3 years old named Jazzy. I love him so very much- he is spoiled rotten! He is not much of a lap cat, but still is very affectionate, and adores being brushed. We paid 100.00 dollars for him what do registered ones usually sell for, just curious in case we decide to get another one someday. Thank you so much!

Our persian/tiger cat "Brandy" of 17 years had to be put to sleep just before Thanksgiving (she lived with my parents). Naturally, this was heartbreaking for all of us. We were blessed to have her that long and we knew that there was another kitty in need of a good home. So, we went to the local shelter. As soon as we walked in, "Ginny" reached through the cage and grabbed my mom! It was love at first sight! She is white and gray with huge green eyes and big white feet (like snowshoes) - absolutely gorgeous. And, she makes the funniest sounds - like bird calls! | Comments: | After the passing of "Mr. Miles" (for Miles Standish, since he came to us on a Thanksgiving years ago), serendipitously I came across the NFC breed. My beloved, noble, calm, adventurous cat very much resembled that breed - long haired, strong chin, wise eyes, deep purr, long tufts of fur from his ears. In fact, your Winterfyre Iben Oleander very much reminds me of Mr. Miles, except that Miles also had fawn coloring in his coat.
I'm on your email update list and am following the growth of your newest litter of kittens. I currently have 5 cats, all indoor cats with full sets of claws, and all of whom were strays that found me. Although I've never owned or purchased a pedigreed cat before, I would like to own another noble cat and have settled on the Norwegian Forest Cat breed as the one who's missing from my brood. | Comments: | I have a Maine Coon "Aristotle" (Brown Classic Tabby 13 years old) who has lost his 2 companions (a white Maine Coon who died of a urinary infection a year ago) and a wonderful ruddy somali (Charlie Boy) who also died from a urinary infection. Charlie Boy was almost a year older than Aristotle. If I get another cat, he would have to be a young one so as not to fight Aristotle. I saw a Silver Norwegian Forest Cat at a local show and I fell in love with him, but he was sold. I cannot tell where you are, but I live in Norfolk, VA. What can you tell me?
The Norwegian cat is very much like the Maine Coon but with a bit shorter legs. That's all right - at least they aren't Munchkins (can't stand them). If you are not in or near Virginia, please let me know of some breeder who is. By the way, my cats never go outside the house and are loved as members of the family. My wife died 5 years ago, and the cats (now only 1) are my family. I have a large 2-story house, fully carpeted (except the kitchen and 1 bath) and the cats love to romp all around, and are free to do so. Aristotle often sleeps on the bed covers at night, while I sleep, too. |
