| Comments: | Wow...I nearly DIED when I read all of your comments. First of all, I am probably the only person where I come from to be head over heals in love with hannibal lecter (or in the case of everyone around me, someone who eats people and is uncapable of love, that sort of thing) and when I even try to explain the whole "love story" between him and Clarice they laugh it off and say he's a killer and that's it. I just think that their romance is so beyond anything I've read in fiction and it's just so incredible...there's no words to even describe it! All of you lecter fans out there understand what I mean. But yeah...back to ME in terms of the good doctor, I'm pretty much smitten. With not only him but with Anthony Hopkins as well. yeah, he's 69 and married but SO WHAT?! I can dream, can't I?? ;-D And btw people, for the thousandth time I am NOT going to go out and eat people so kindly explain that to my mom who is ready to kick me out of the house :-D Not many understand my little obsession with the stories andd the charming doctor himself so it's nice to hear that there are other people like me out there. | Comments: | I personally believe that the novels were extremeley well written, a psychological thriller, with a new twist at the beginning of every page. The Good Doctor, and his obsession Clarice, make the best pair in the novels, hauntingly romantic.
Unfortunately, when the Hannibal novel was made into a movie, they apparently forgot to read the book. Did anybody else notice that? One kiss, and not even reciprocated at the other end, what was Ridley Scott thinking? If I am not mistaken, in the novel it was actually Clarice who initiated the more intimate side of their relationship, but none the less, it was a well made movie. However, I would have literally begged Jodie Foster to play the part of Clarice, it just wasn't the same without her. Anthony Hopkins on the other hand, well what is there to say but that he is genious, stellar performance, really. It was a good site too, and live on all Hannibal fans. |

I LOVE Hannibal and Clarice, as a couple. I loved Jodie Foster in Silence of the Lambs, but found more chemistry between him and Julianne Moore in Hannibal. Her acting by his side is stellar...they bring out the best in each other. Jodie Foster played a "different" Clarice (younger, naive). Julianne Moore played a tougher, more sophisticated Starling, which is how she should be portrayed now. She gave Clarice a wonderful edge. | Comments: | Well what can you say about the best films in the world, nothing. I was 8 when i first saw Silence of the Lambs and never looked back. Over the past 7 years my mind wandered from romance to comedy (and even Harry Potter), but planted firmly at the back was Silence of the Lambs. The passions I feel for this unique film has grown since the making of Hannabal, an equally inspiring film, and grown even more since the revelation of Red Dragon was going to be relesed.
All i can say is i hope they never stop making those movies, and I'll be at the front of every showing. credit must also go to the actor who make not only the characters realy but the plot realistic. If anyone wants to talk about SOTL or Hannibal or even Red Dragon, don't hesitate to drop a line. Ciao Tori. |

I have watched and rewatched SOTL and Hannibal many times and I never tire. Where I did enjoy Jullianne Moore's Clarice, Jodie Foster I feel was meant for the part. There is a Chemistry that can be felt between Our Hannibal and Jodie's Clarice that is lacking with Jullianne's. Anthony Hopkins is brilliant. Dr. Lecter is permanately etched in to my mind with those eyes and that voice... I am famished. I hunger for my next feast--RED DRAGON. |

Ten years have passed since I first watched Silence of the Lambs and I still think Hannibal is one of the greatest vilans ever written --I couldn't say 'the' greatest because then I would be forgetting all about Dracula, Darth Vader or even the Joker. But yes, Hannibal will plague my imagination for ever like no other. Clarice and Hannibal -- truly the Beauty and the Beast, don't you think? Sir Anthony Hopkins did a great job with Lecter -- I couldn't think of any one that could have done it better. And I know you're gonna hate me for this, but I liked Julianne Moore more as Clarice then I ever did with Jodie Foster. Sorry people! About this site --loved it! Great pics and graphics. Keep up the good work. Wish there would be a sequel to Hannibal...*sighs*, but at least we'll have the chance to watch the doctor one more time in the big scree: I'm sure Red Dragon will be fantastic.

I also saw theHannibal movie and was infuriated by the lack of consideration for the books ending! I mean , Jodie Foster was born to BE Clarice Starling and you NEVER saw Ardelia Mapp,Jack Crawford, or Margot Verger.
