| Comments: | I'm sure you probably won't read this or anything, you probably don't even update this site anymore, but I didn't check, so who knows? Most of the crap in your slash rant was half of your opinion. Your basis for the rant is based mostly in American fandoms and the world of "slash" honey. There is something called "BL" aka boys love or yaoi. It has many names. And in it there are usually an uke (bottom) and a seme (top) and the guys act/look girly alot. So that might be where your writers are getting ideas on how to write from. That's cool if you want it out of your fandom but that doesn't mean it completely sucks in other fandoms.
BTW it's lolicon (lolita complex) or shotachan. And we can discuss how "illegal" it is all you want. But it's honestly only your opinion that it's sick. Alot of us girls enjoy shota. And uh seeing as how I'm a girl, I'm not going to get a sex change anytime soon and commit such acts. And fyi, I only read shota that involves fictional characters. FICTIONAL. If anything involved or even alluded to any real child, I would stay very very far away. But a drawing on a page isn't hurting anyone when I look at it. Once again, also considering most, if not all, shota is drawn/written for/by women. Get your facts straight! And RPS, get over it already. So you don't like it, boo hoo. We have something called disclaimers, honey. And if the boys don't like it, all they'd have to do is contact us to take them down. Duh. |

Just wanted to say that I truly enjoy the site; I check on it every week or so to see what's new on it. I love that you aren't afraid to speak your mind and stand by your choices, and though I might not always agree, that's the beauty of free speech, we get ideas flowing, new thoughts are introduced, ideas are exchanged, and even if nobody changes their mind, everyone is enriched simply by experiencing new directions to look at things. I am a Due South -RayK all the way!- and, to a lesser extent, a Sentinal fan. Those two I definately saw the slash undercurrents going on. However, I'm not a Highlander slash fan. As a fan of that show, I saw absolutely no slash undercurrents going on between Duncan and Methos. Definately see the ROG swinging all ways, but Duncan is a little het boy, and I say, good for him, at least he truly likes women and knows how to treat them. | Comments: | I wholeheartedly agree with your X-Files and Highlander
recs, having read and enjoyed all of them before, and this page made me go back and reread them again for repeated pleasure. I'm now trying out the Sentinel recs which I'm less familiar with. I came home today from work and personal errands, and let me tell you events had transpired that put me in a foul mood. Consequently when I called up your page (I really like the "Slash Slut's Recs" name--so apt for most of us) I couldn't concentrate on the stories so I decided to look in for the first time at the Bitch Fest. Glad I did. For some reason all that ranting, raving, foul language, bitchiness, outrage, slap-'em-down-where-it-hurts- and-slap-'em-down-harder-if-they-get-up, really uplifted my mood; which is why I'm signing a guestbook for the first time. Unfortunately, though, I have lost the urge to mangle, inflict bodily harm, or utter cutting words toward harmless passers-by, which is the downside of losing a good bitchy mood. However, I'm woman enough to handle it, and I will cope. Okay, gotta go see what Jim and Blair are up to. Nothing good, I hope. |
