I saw an ad at work for a cookbook for a little boy who is 3 yrs old that had been diagnosed with a Wilms's tumor. His story sounded so familiar with Cody's and he kind of resembles him too. Made me think about Cody and how he was such a happy and loving child. I miss him but I know the Lord has a special for him up there. I bought a bunch of cookbooks even though I hardly ever cook. I will keep a copy and give the others out as a gift. I thought you guys would like to hear that Cody is still inspiring others up in heaven. If there is any way I can help out at the next fundraiser or even if you want to get together and hang at the mall like old times. I miss you, Brenda too of course. Feel free to email me. |

| Comments: | I found your page in researching some fundraiser ideas for Jordan. I was so happy to see you (Kathy Lee) supporting Childrens Cancer. Jordan is 3 now and was diagnosed with (ALL) in June 07. He is a twin and have and older brother Joshua 6. Yes, it's all boys at my house. Jordan is also and honored Hero for Pasta for Pennies for the (LLS)and I will be starting at least 2 Website for Children's Cancer.

| Comments: | We are really glad we came to Cody Jam 05', we were probably in treatment the two previous years during Katja's two transplants. You are right, Brenda, we do really need to stick together and do what we can to find a cure for all childhood cancer. Glad we could do our part last night at the dinner, silent auction, and Jammin' with Johnny Holm's band. Let us know how we can help with future events to raise money and awareness. I just wanted to let you know that I think of both of you often. I really am touched of the foundation you create in cody's honor. He was truly a special, warm, kind-hearted child. My favorite memory of Cody at my daycare was that he would arrive around 1:00 in the afternoon. He would say good bye to Brenda then come downstairs and ask me if I got any new catalogs in the mail today. His favorite was the Disney, and we would go through page by page and he would tell me what he liked & disliked. He was always very kind to the smaller children. I have just revisited the website you have so beautifully put together. Cody was such a special gift and I want to thank you for sharing him with me and his classmates . There isn't a day that goes by that I don't think of him. The wonderful thing is that I smile and sometimes giggle out loud -- which I'm sure some people must think I'm a little crazy . He was more than a student to me , he was a friend , a teacher and an attitude adjuster. He taught me so much about life and death and how to face trials and tribulations positively. His life here on earth may have been short , but the lessons he taught others will live on for generations!! Keep up the good work!! I know Cody didn't get this attitude all on his own! | Comments: | I had the wonderful oppurtunity to meet Cody. I was a student teacher in his Kindergarten class for half the year. Cody was such a wonderful boy that always had the biggest smile.
I was watching T.V tonight and I heard about his foundation and saw his picture on the T.V. I ran in the other room to look online. I had not heard he had passed. As I was typing in the address I prayed that it was not him. I was very sorry to hear that it was. I just wanted to let you know how much he touched my heart. I have thought about him a lot since I left the school and wondered how he was. I was placed at the school to learn about teaching and to help out the teacher. But while I was there Cody taught me so much more!! Cody taught me how to be strong and to always have a smile! He was a wonderful friend to all the students. | Comments: | I never had the chance to meet Cody but I was forwarded the video of Cody bashing the drums (to an Eminem song I believe) as his Dad (no slouch on the skins either) was shooting video. Cody's energy and vibe were coming right through the computer. Music is such an important element in life. It was great seeing Cody creating and being moved by music!! The tunes are great here on earth, but I can't imagine how great they must be in Heaven. I certainly know who's laying down the groove though. |

| Comments: | I never met Cody in person, but I feel as if I have through the wonderful stories and pictures I've heard and seen from his incredible dad and friend Brent Vollmers. I missed Cody by just a few minutes at the first Cody Jam. I remember hearing about the brand new drum set that looks just like his Dad's, and I can still picture him banging away on it (you just know he's keeping all the other Angels awake at night!). Part of me wishes I had been blessed with knowing such an amazing soul, but the other part of me then realizes that I do know him, because his spirit is deep within the people he knew. All you have to do is look in their eyes, and you will see Cody. I am so incredibly proud to be associated with the Cody Foundation, and to do all that I possibly can to spread Cody's message.
