The information I have is that James Murtagh married Sarah Browning in Armidale marriage Reg # 1981/1890. James reportedly operated a livery in Faulkner Street and later became a bookmaker. Sarah died approx 1940 ? is buried in the catholic portion of Armidale cemetery. James died some 18 years prior. Five children were produced, 3 boys James John,my granfather, Angus and Barney and 2 girls names not known. One became Mrs Post and lived in Armidale, the other became Mrs Fox and relocated to Sydney, as did some of the boys? Any information would be appreciated, I intend visiting in the next month or so and would be grateful for any assistance. I have forwarded seperately the required fee.
