SCOOP, Inc. is a non-profit, tax exempt, all volunteer organization dedicated to reducing suffering and overpopulation among cats through non-lethal methods. We need your assistance to help us with a community problem. In Cincinnati county shelters, 100 healthy animals are euthanized every single day due to not enough homes for them. Millions of taxpayer dollars are spent nationally each year trying to cope with the cat surplus. Our major goal is encouraging community involvement through a low-cost spay/neuter program called Prevent A Litter (PAL) available to anyone who helps a stray or feral cat. Our program assists many counties in the Cincinnati area.
We’re preparing for our annual major fundraiser—a Mardi Gras party on February 7, 2009. The proceeds from our fundraisers have helped us fund spay/neuter surgeries for nearly 185 stray and feral cats since 2007. In addition, we’ve helped find these cats indoor homes or permanent caretakers.
For this fundraising event, we’re in need of donated items, gift cards, or gift certificates for auctions. All donations are deductible for federal income tax purposes. You’ll receive a letter verifying your gift for tax purposes. In addition, we’ll provide acknowledgment of your business at our party, on our websites, and in our newsletter.
