I saw CATS in Portland, in the Arlene Schizer. Very dressy place. And I got to see this wonderous play this March. *giggle* I'm saving up to see it in CA... but seats are $300 a pop... and my friend wants so badly to come. So that's $600 there.... but my dad is considering taking me to London to see CATS.... so ^^ yay! |

| Comments: | Ello, greetings Jellicles.lol. It's me Mistojess (again), I finally got my CATS dvd back from my Social Studies teacher. He said he liked it a lot, he's really funny. Oh! His name is Mr. Skillingstad, but most of the kids call him Mr.S. JACOB BRENT IS SOOOOOOOOOSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOSOOOOO HHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOTTTTTTTTT!I bought a mini 8 ball, then the first question I asked it was:" Am I going to meet Jacob Brent soon it said... Rely on it. I swear I'm not lying! I want to do ballet so bad but I can't because of Military reasons. I've been practicing and I can almost do the splits. And I'm getting more and more flexible when I stretch.(every day). I'm almost getting to the point that I'm going to ask my mom if I can go to North Carolina School of Art even though I live in Washington. I want to go there because they have band (I play the clarinet), ballet, and vocal workshop. And those are the things I like (even though I've never did ballet before). Then when I'm done doing the summer session I'll try out for Access Broadway. But I'm still thinking.lol. So I've about 3 years planned out already.lol. |

We should be done by the end of August(I think and I hope). NO we are not real movie makers (obviously since we are both only 12).:). Last month we had a Social Studies project due on June 7.(I'm in the 6th Grade) It was supposed to be on one thing that had to do with the world. So I thought why don't I do my project on Broadway, but I thought that might take to long, SO WHY DONT I DO IT ON CAT!!!!!!!!!! THEN i SAID DUH. So that what i did. All my friends and classmates knew I was going to do CATS because they knew I was obsessed with it. When time came June 7th I brought my BIG BANNER to school, along with my CATS CD,and my CATS DVD. Oh I was also going to play Memory on my clarinet but I didn't get the band book in time. I came to school ready. I presented my report on CATS and how many countries it played in and what places it closed in and character etc. AND HE GAVE ME AN A!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WAS SO SO SO SO HAPPY. TO THINK THAT I GOT AN A ON SOMETHING I ENJOYED. WOW. OK I'M CALMED DOWN lol. I'm surprised that I was the last person on here. COME ON PEOPLE DON'T JUST READ TYPE, TYPE, TYPE!!!!!!!!!!! CATS is the best Broadway musical EVER and will ALWAYSSSSS BE(OF COURSE!!).lol. I've never seen it theater but I would REALLY like to. Me and my mom might go see it before she goes to Iraq hopefully. But we live in Puyallup, Washington (by Seattle) and the only places CATS is plying at is Las Vegas, FLorida, Phoenix and they are playing in June, July,and August. But we can't go to the one in August because that's when she goes to Iraq. I LOVE JACOB BRENT!!!!!!!!!!!! HE IS SO SO SO HOTTTTTTTTTTT!!! MAN!!! OKAY I THINK I'LL BE FINE. HA!! TALK ABOUT FINE lol. | Comments: | Hi i'm a student studying Theatrical and media make-up, we have just been given an assignment, to create a (wouldn't ya know it?!) cat character for our local theatre, the production is actually dick whittington but the principal character is the Cat, so i was looking for inspiration for my character which the Director has described as "Cheeky" and "Street-wise". The first thing that came to mind was the Musical CATS, the net is seriously lacking in decent sites about CATS so i want to give you a big thank you for making this brilliant site! I'm not here to steal your work by the way, i just needed inspiration! If you can give me anymore tips or good sites about ANYTHING to do with cats, then it would be greatly appriciated, also it doesn't have to be to do with the musical, cat anything!!! | How many times have you seen CATS? Where & When?: | I've only had the opportunity to see CATS live once. I was visiting a couple CATS-friends of mine, J-A and Oli-cat, and we had planned on seeing the play together. J-A and I went in costume (her as Bomby, me as 'Tugger; her bf, Oli, came as himself and so was just walking his cats) and people thought we were part of the cast (again pics can be sent for viewing pleasure)! We got pics taken with a few fans, but declined the autographs. After the play, we snuck around backstage and met most of the cast. Got pics taken, and they really admired our costumes! Got our playbills autographed to our herts' content and then walked around town for a while (after we changed back into our street clothes). For a full spiel on my experience, I can send you my e-mag that contains my Trip Report I.
I also plan on seeing it again when it comes close to a neighbouring state (I'm in Idaho, USA) in June. Me and a pawful of my friends are going to try and go in costume and meet the cast afterwards if possible. I'll invite you too, if you'd like. So far, only five are going (maybe; it's not confirmed yet) and there is always room for more CATS-Fanatics! |
