Not only the tips on crocheting but the inspirational word on our Lord and Savior, Imagine a site that allows you to speak and read about our Lord when our own courts in this wonderful country of ours doesn’t allow it. I do have a question does anyone have a pattern to make a good size teddy bear (something easy please). Thank you in advance and please keep up the great work.

Comments:The pattern from Bonnie DeCamp is a pattern that my Aunt Alta used to make for all of us kids as an Easter gift every year untill her death in '84. I still have one that she made for me. I am anxious to carry on her legacy and make them for my sister's grandkids as I don't have any of my own. It is so nice to find a sight where people are not afraid to call upon their god and use the name of Jesus our wonderfusl savior and Lord. I have tried to sign up for the newsletter several times but for some reason I am having diffuculty doing so. Could you please make sure that I am on your list, My email address is as follows: msvec@att.net Thankyou and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Comments:I just want you to know that I have had Jesus in my Heart for a long time. I was saved on May 8,1978. But, your site has really inspired me. I find crocheting difficult due to back and health problems. But, I am determined to get back into it to escape time. Time is Satan's tool. I need your prayers, I have been more or less bedridden the last 2 years. I was a social worker for 9 years for the
State of Arkansas. Then I went into apartment management and fell down a flight of stairs. I have copied several patters and intend to enjoy visits to your site on a regular basis.

So many wonderful and exciting patterns to try, especially the "Dog House".
My mom taught me to do both crochet and knit when I was a child. Never was I so engrossed in doing this type of handicraft until, mom passed away 18 years ago. My friends say, mom put her hooks and her hands into mine and I have not stopped learning and doing all kinds of projects since.I enjoy it all so much. Thank you so much for the site.

Would anyone have the pattern for mittens that are crocheted working the thumb in as you go? I had the pattern from the '70's and made hundreds of them, but lost the pattern in a house fire. I have ask everyone I thought might have it, but have not been successful. I make them for the homeless, or school children, or anyone in need. They were a good use of leftover yarn. God bless you and thank you again for this place where you are not afraid to speak of your love of the Lord!

Comments:Here is a tip to identify the size of crochet hook you are using on a project. It is especially helpful if you have multiple WIPS.
You can purchase little tags called tag markers (or something like that) at office supple stores. Some of them have strings attached. Put the crochet hook size on one of these tags and attach to the project. In this manner you always have the hook size with the project even if the project is put down for months or even years.

==============================
Some yarns do not wash well when agitated in a washing machine. Always read
your yarn label for washing instructions before beginning your project. If
you have doubts about how it will wash you should make a swatch and wash it
like you would the intended project to see how it does. It's better to take time
to make the swatch than to waste time on a project only to have it ruined.
==================================

I read this and I have a question... one of my friends washed a blanket his wife made and it shrunk and it's fat, is there anything that can be done restoring it or at least flattening it?

Thanks for your help.

Mary :)
