| Comments: | Hi, Very impressed with what you have done with your website, links, etc. I am reviewing your infant pain tool to possibly assist in monitoring physician compliance for providing analgesia with circumcision procedures performed at my hospital. We have implemented NIPS into our well-baby documentation, but find we need more supportive documentation regarding compliance. As you know, nurse research doesn't impress MDs, nor change behaviors despite AAP recommendatons. Do you have any additional information to share regarding the implementation of your tool?

I had a one to one preceptorship which lasted three months, which is the norm for a new grad here. Ours is a large unit (35-45pt.s) with all pt.'s transported in and a teaching hospital. I now do relief charge and ECMO and really enjoy all aspects of pt. care. What I really enjoy is taking part in the care of an infant and their family over and 3-9mo. period and all the changes that take place the good and the bad. |
