Thank you for playing at our "FLAG DAY IN WEST CHESTER" on Jun 14, 2008.

When you started playing, it made everybody feel festive and enthusiastic. You could see that your music made everyone hold their flags a little higher, a little prouder. You made it special.

We wanted to show open support and respect for our flag and country and the great guys of the Irish Thunder allowed us to do it with class.

You guys are magnificent!

Comments:Hello. You guys may or may not know that one of the bartenders at Brittingham's Pub lost EVERYTHING in a house fire in Conshy, last Friday. Pete Leiber awoke to smoke and flames in his bedroom that started from a space heater. He attempted to fight the fire and got a nasty burn on his foot. Pete is the cousn of Jim Brady in our band.

Brittingham's is having a fund raiser for Pete and his room mate on Sunday afternoon, March 2nd at 2PM. I told Mike Allen, the owner that I would get as many of our band members to come play the event. We however will just be getting back from Binghamton NY where we march each year in their St Patty's Parade. I am not sure how many of our guys have to be in work Sunday night so I can't get a real good head count on who is attending.

I told Mike Allen that I would contact you guys and see if you would like to jump in with us. I would have reached out sooner but I have been in Savannah, GA since this past Sunday. I hope that maybe between our two bands we might be able to field a decent amount of people to play some tunes for Pete.

I tried calling the number listed on your page for Sean and a gentleman answered and said that their was nobody that by that name.

I will be leaving tomorrow afternoon for Binghamton but will have my lap top with me in case you want to send me an E-mail about this event.

In Brotherhood,
Glenn Drake

Comments:Hi Folks, It's awful quiet down here in North Wildwood. The field is getting for some "Irish Thunder"!.......I'll be busy up at the Bulkhead next to where Moores used to be. I hooked up with the local No. Wildwood Vol. Fire Co. #1 and we will have a major tent going on. WIP and a few others are giving us a pitch.

How does your weekend slack time look? I know you usually hit Tony's for lunch, but where will you be playing for what times and when will you have some down time????

If... you're interested, I may be able to get you a few minutes spot while you're spending some $$$ on refreshments in our tent, but we're suppose to have about 5 bands from Friday afternoon through Sunday PM. It's still in the planning stage, but I think we have '2-U" band at night (the old Blackthorn - that fell apart) One guy is keeping the name and will be down at Wally's in the Bollero.

Fire Fire Co. is taking place of the Moores GIG and we're using it for a major fund raiser to buy equipment and uniforms for the Fire Co.

Anyway, let me know how you-all are doin. By the looks of your schedule, you're doin OK.

Great!
