Right now I am enjoying a very nice gentle rain as I hunker down for the Super Bowl with two of my children and four of my grand kids! Y'all can send all the rain you don't want this way!

My trip back east May-July 2009 was a very enjoyable time and I thoroughly enjoyed visiting and seeing old friends. Next trip is a short-short to Silver City, NM next week. It is cooler than the 105 degrees here today.

| Comments: | Let's see...I believe I was class of 56...yes, I'm sure. I don't know if I can get a blog on or not...may try. One little thing...how many of us still have their class ring? Mine was replaced by wedding rings (all too soon) and those now long removed...but I put my class ring away...forgot where...One day about 25 years latter, I found it in an old jewlery box. It still has some of the 'black wax' on it. |

| Comments: | Since last reunion, I moved to Cordele, GA located on I-75 between Macon and Valdosta. Moved here to be near only son and two grandchildren. Stay busy going to grandson's football and baseball games and grandaugher's softball games. I am active in the Kiwanis and being Secretary of Masonic Lodge is a fulltime job! Elaine also busy as secretary/recorder of Garden Club and volunteering at the hospital. I miss not living near Sumter to go to the monthly Edmunds lunch gaterhing. Looking forward to the 2010 reunion. |

| Comments: | Margaret and I were married about the time I graduated, she was still in school. In fact, we married so young that my mom had to go with us on the honeymoon to change my diaper! Had two children...one on the way...by the time I finished U.S.C. Two more later. Lived in Virginia for a number of years, where I was an Insurance Adjuster (as my dad was all of my life), and a Claims Manager. Returned to S.C. due to family concerns, lived in West Columbia, Lexington, on Lake Murray, now at our country place...Crooked Creek Farm (from which the name of our Ebay store is derived). Upon returning to South Carolina, owned National Search Group...a personnel recruiting (does the word 'headhunter' ring a bell?) firm for fifteen years ....until recession of '82 put me out of business. Also resulted in Marg being forced to sell her day care center. Bad times! The next twenty five years spent in insurance sales, financially recovered, retired with AIG in 2006(glad I got out in time). Marg became a teacher, retired, now creates sock monkeys, Raddedy Anns 'n Andys, etc., which are among the items sold in our store...and which have been sent around the world! Lost our oldest son in 2002, other children doing well. Check out our blog for more. I never seem to run out of words...a fact to which my wife can attest. |
