Name: Eric Davis
E-mail address: emdavis@lakeozark.net
Years at YIS: 58-59-60
I now live in: Missouri, USA
Message:Hello, YIS, Michael Potter, David Wesson, Nancy Spratt, Mike Viscer and Mr. Stubbs, where ever you may be.
I returned to my home state of Iowa following dad's retirement from the US Army in 1961, completed high school in Centerville, IA and graduated from the University of Iowa at Iowa City in 1972. Dad died in 1966 while I was still in high school and I had to work a couple of jobs to finally get my BA in Journalism.
I worked as a radio and television reporter for several years, covering the Iowa Legislature until 1980 when I took an entry-level sales job for a coal mining company. Several acquisitions later, I was named general manager of bunker fuel and residual oil sales for Koch Refining Company in Minneapolis/St. Paul.
I am now semi-retired and operate a heavy oil brokerage at my home office at Lake of the Ozarks in central Missouri.
Regards,

Eric Davis

Message:Mr. Baumann, Ms. Sugiyama, Mrs Latta, Mr Yajima if you remember them you go back a few years. And of course there was Mr DeHann and good old Mr. Stubbs, what a great teacher he was. My Dad took alot of pictures when my sister Tess or I had birthdays so I have plenty of pictures of everyone and I pull them out occasionally. I remember being one of the first students to move into the new building in Yamate. When the 'street' was just a narrow road. Before that we were in a another building, I think it was teh Swedish Embassy of something. (If anyone remebers please refresh my memory it was 50 years ago.) The classmates were Maryjo Fisk, Elaine and Daphne Web, Michael Visger,Craig Vincent, Paijan Wu, Nancy Spratt, Vicki Thynne. Eric Davis. I've been in touch with a couple of these friends but I'd sure like to hear from everyone, sometime. If anyone is interested in contacting me my email address is michaelpotter1@cox.net I'd love to here from everyone and get new about old teacher and friends.

Name: Omar Holcomb
E-mail address: cholc20@hotmail.com
Message:I was at Yokohama International School on the Bluff in
Yokohama from 1936 to 1938, leaving for the United States
in what would have been my junior high shool year. The
dormitory in which boarding students lived also was on the
Bluff, a good long walk from the school. Schoolmates I
recall are Ted Van Doorn, Harris (Jishin) Martin, Gloria
Uyemura and younger sister, and Kenneth Ishii and younger
sister. There was the memorable headmaster, Roger Percival
Pott; and the dormitory matron, Mrs. Ruey. Does any of
that sound familiar? -Omar Holcomb-
