Name: Tim Hill E-mail address: timothyhill@optusnet.com.au Years at YIS: 1968-1969 I now live in: sydney Aus Message: I attened YIS in kindergarden and first grade. My memories of this time are very cheerfull. Having children at this age now brought back memories of my time in Yokohama.I still have a clear vision of Billy Ashby who's father was with Shell and Connie Ash and Mary kate Mc Millan. Miss Booth was our teacher. It would be pleasant to hear from fellow students to have a laugh and a quick reflection of the past. Message: I attended 1st and 2nd grade at YIS between 1968 and 1970, and would have graduated in 1980 if my family had remained in Yokohama - our family returned to the San Francisco Bay Area, where I currently reside.
I have excellent memories of my early years at YIS, and it would be great to hear from any former classmates or teachers.Wednesday, May 5th 2004 - 03:17:57 PM . . . . . Message # 4

Name: Erik van der Poel E-mail address: erik@netscape.com Homepage: http://people.netscape.com/erik/ Message: Hey Class of '80!
How's it going? Over here in California, all is well. After
leaving YIS in the middle of 11th grade, I went to a high
school in Holland, university in England, and then back to
Holland for military service (yeah, watch out I know how to
use guns now! ;-) Then back to Japan to work for a Japanese
software company called SRA in Tokyo, followed by a brief
attempt to work for myself (yeah, like I'm organized! :-)
Jumped the pond and continental US to the East Coast to work
in Virginia for a year and a half. Then finally got hired
by an old friend at Netscape, at the time ('95) the hottest
company in the hottest industry. (Things have cooled off a
bit since then! :-)
My wife Misa is Japanese, and our daughters Karen (5) and
Michelle (3) keep us busy.
Erik
