I haven't left Denmark since, and haven't seen or heard from anybody in decades! I went on to business school in Denmark, and worked in the stock photography agency for years before moving on to my present position as independent consulatant and partner in an online barter exchange. I have 3 children, 2 girls aged 10 and 7, and a boy aged 3, but my marriage broke up 6 mths ago, this being liberal Denmark, my ex lives around the corner and the children spend alternating weeks with each of us. Laura, Sandra, Lyra, Dawn -- I was wondering how on earth I'd find you. The only other person I've kept in touch with over the years is Motome, and she was in the class of 84. She did tell me, though, that Makoto is in California (Bakersfield, I think), Arthur also on the West Coast, and that Nalin is in Japan and quite the ladies' man.
I ended up in Washington DC after 3 years in Germany, 6 years at Harvard, and a really long stint at the World Bank. My son is 6 1/2 and is in first grade, and my daughter just turned 4 and just started preschool. My, makes me feel old! Hard to believe we all graduated from YIS almost 20 years ago!!! My husband is now a Director of Investor Relations for Agere Systems (formerly part of Lucent Technologies). I've settled in sunny Florida in the Tampa Bay area after a three-year stint in Miami at the Miami Herald. I'm married to a reporter, Jeff, who also works at the Times. I have an 11-year-old daughter, Lauren, from a previous marriage.
