I still keep in touch with Carla (she finally got married last December to a guy she dated like 15 years!), Ricardo, Kazue, and a few other people sporadically. I now live in Spokane (Washington state) with my husband Christopher and our two beautiful children, Madelaine and Stuart. Just an update...I am still in Boca Raton, Florida. My monsters...oops I mean my sons will be 8 and 6 next month.
Unfortunately though, I am now a widow. My husband died last month. 2 days before our 9th anniversary.
I am still running our moving company and will try to as long as possible (or until I hit the lottery!)

Some of you will remember me as your English teacher, maybe volleyball coach, and I hope as your friend. I spent two incredible years at YIS - loved every minute of it and learned more from my students than they probably ever learned from me.
In any event, I still remain married to the woman I was married to back then, Ruri. Our first born, Anri, who was born in Yokohama at the time, is now 20 and entering her third year in college. Our second daughter, Julie, is going into her sophomore year at college.
We live on the western shore of Cayuga Lake, one of the Finger Lakes in central New York. It is an idyllic spot. We love it (and love to share it with old friends). We are just north of Ithaca and about an hour from Rochester and Syracuse.
I am now a superintendent of an advisory district in our region, and I work with nine component school districts on school improvement activities including staff development, special programs for kids, etc. As much as I enjoy the challenges of my work, I must confess the job I most loved was being a teacher at YIS.
