My summer vacation is over, I am back at work and was feeling nostalgic so I decided to stop by this site. Its great to see that so many people have left a message.
I have been living in Stockholm since 1993 so its now been 11 years, but I have a few more years to go before I surpass the 14 years I spent in Japan :-)
At one point there were actually 4 YIS alumni in Stockholm (Ulf, Teresia, Jesper and myself) but now we are only 2 (Teresia and I). Two years ago a new colleague joined my workgroup at Ericsson (after a 3 year assignment abroad in Japan) and it turned out that she knew YIS as a parent. Her children both attended YIS and had had Mr. Stanworth as maths teacher (our commom denominator). It was a bit disturbing that I am now the peer of a parent as that means I must be getting old.......
Speaking of parent, I am now a wife and mother. I have two sons age 5 and 3. I work full time for Ericsson and live in a house in a suburb outside of Stockholm. How is that for a quick summary ;-)

Yep, I'm based down here in Vietnam (Saigon, well actually
that's the closest city...) building a Power Plant, doesn't

construction engineer for a Japanese construction firm. I
just barely scraped through IB maths, and flunked physics
(to be more precise, I just about flunked everything except
for classes with Mr.Matsumoto).

Hong Kong right now working for HSBC. This is my fifth year
with the Bank and it has taken me to London, Dubai,
Singapore, Tokyo and Sri Lanka before getting here. Most
postings have been for around the year mark, so it's been a
lot of packing and unpacking.
On the personal side I got engaged about six months ago to a
rather pleasant young Australian girl. Wedding plans are
coming together for November this year, so it's all very
exciting.
Would like to catch up with other YIS types who are passing
through. I've come across one or two drinking establishments
in town which I would be pleased to show you around...
