I am not sure if you recall but a while back, some of us talked about a reunion in 2007 - yes 15 years since our high school graduation. I know it'll be hard to get everyone together but just wanted to throw it out there to see if anyone was still interested!
Here's just a first proposal - let me know if anyone has any other ideas or suggestions. What do you think about Las Vegas in mid May? Just thought that after GW would be more reasonable for our friends in Japan, before Memorial Day weekend would be reasonable for everyone in the US, and for those of us in Europe, this should work just as well, I assume. There are also plenty of hotels and activities to fit any price range. I wasn't thinking of planning anything big but perhaps dinner and some activities if anyone's interested.
So, I look forward to hearing from you all. If you know anyone else's email, please forward this along if you think they'd be interested. I've really lost touch with many people so I ask for your support there.

Happy new yr everyone! Hope 2004 is the best yet! My husband (Shina) and I just returned from Australia where we spent xmas and New yr with my dad, my sister (Zione) and her partner.
My dad still lives in Tokyo but decided to come spend the holidays with us.
Zione (class of 91) has just finished a contract with The Australian centre for the moving image where she worked as a contracts lawyer....and you wouldn't guess what but STERLARC was one of her clients. He didn't remember her at first but after all the talk of YIS, I think he did remember. Small world!
I guess a lot of us have read it in the papers how he (stelarc) wanted to grow an ear on his arm (or something to that effect), he's still very much into his "man and the machine" art. You can check out his website....internationally acclaimed.
Anyway, I am still jetlagged (it's 2:45am here in England). Married life is fantastic etc etc. For those of you who don't know, Samja dunkel is getting married in April or may this year (I think in Yokohama).....if I can make it, I will see any of you who are there!

just an update. i left japan early May, bought a car and drove cross country from the west coast back to Maine. my favourite was the drive up from Grand Canyon to Salt Lake City. the everchanging landscape kept us mesmerized. the best was driving from 90F weather in the morning to arrive at a snow covered Navajo Lake that same afternoon in the Dixie national forest. highly recommended trip across the country! anyhoo, i am considering going back to school for an MSW or MEd but right now, a job in a related field takes priority-gotta pay those bills! also Gin, me'bro, is going to France this fall for an MBA. so if you're going that way, you know where to crash (at my poor, unsuspecitng bro's.)

of Florida for a PhD in Chemical Engineering, which I should

Hunt and his band Hate Dept. He was their drum player.
Charles seemed to be really into it. His performance during
the concert was pretty entertaining. Charles doesn't really
look like the Chowa picture from 5th & 6th grade(I still do,
I think). I thought that he was 'geeky' and would grow up
to be a physicist(?). Everyone that remembers him should
check out the band's web page where you can see how he
looks today. He has it listed, two messages below this one.
For those that care:
The club they played had a Industrial/Gothic theme tonight.
When I entered, I thought that I was on the set for
"Buffy"(a TV series about a female vampire slayer). I
expected the band to have a 'strange' atmosphere.
Fortunately, it was more like Prodigy. I didn't really
expect them to be that good. The crowd was into it, thanks
to the Vocal, but in all everyone seemed to be into it.
Charles, thanks for the invite and the CD's. I hope KTCL
invites you and Hate Dept. over the summer for the
concert/rave up in the mountains. Good luck with the rest
