I lost contact with everyone about a year after I left, maybe it was because I was an ass or just forgotten. I have used google maps a hundred times trying to find YIS and some of my old stomping grounds but, because I was more interested in screwing around than learning Japanese I could not read the maps. How are all of you. I know I've been quite lazy and haven't written anything here in a while. Anyway I' currently in a new company, I'm in freight forwarding, it might not be as exciting as my old job, but it pays the bils. I'm still very much in music, with my bands and record label FYI Ent. Currently we're working on our first 2 releases - a punk band called 1 Buck Short and an industrial band called Side Circle. They are both local Malaysian bands and are pretty active in the scene. I'm also an editor of a music magazine called Dragon, so basically I'm doing a lot of things at once, but I guess this can keep me busy. I've just also realized that I've been married for 6 years now, so who else is gonna join me down that road. Actually I was supposed to be transfere to Japan(Main reason I accepted the freight job), but it was cancelled at the very last minute. I might be able to travel there once in a while, but that will be later on. I really miss the YIS days and all of you guys. Well keep me posted on how you guys are and you can e-mail me personally if you want.

I worked in Hotel Nikko for about 2 years and help to start up a family business, involving hydro-culture plants. I grow and export hydro-culture palm plants. The business has been running for about 1 year and I decided to hire some managers and their assistants. I then found out that they were doing the same jobs as me, so I decided to go back to KL, to work in a company where I can utilize my Japanese language - that is now slowly being reduced from lack of practice. I now work for a Japanese entertainment company, where we bring in Japanese Anime, Dramas and etc and introduce it to Malaysia. We then work closely with the local TV stations down here to get our shows on air. So far we have done "Beautiful Life", "100 years love story", "Challenge of fire" and now we are working on airing "Paman", "Hero", "Love Generation" and even hosting some events. We are also promoting some Malaysian acts in Japan - that'll be sometime next year, but nothing is confirmed yet!!. I will also be running some music events in Malaysia next year. Hopefully I can see you guys in Japan next year.
I'm still quite involved in music and I'm currently in 2 bands. Things are looking great and we'll be playing some shows next year. Well I guess that's about it. I'll keep you guys updated and please give me you e-mail adds if you want me to e-mail you guys individually.

Satoko- Congratulations!
I've started a Masters at Iowa State in Immunology, working
through the Veterinary School here. What can I say, the
research is interesting, I'm getting paid, and I'm enjoying
myself, doing what I want. Long term goal is to get a DVM
after the Masters.
I was in London this summer for a week, and met up with Paul Matthews, which was fun. Also spent a month in Japan, and one in Norway, travelling with my boyfriend who is from
there.
