Comments:Thank you so much for the comprehensive information on the Hy6. As a new purchaser of this amazing camera I have referred back to this site many times. The learning curve is significantly shortened and you have my sincerest gratitude.

Comments:Can you clarify whether it is helpful to update the LENS firmware? Do the lenses have firmware? I own the 50 AFD, 80 AFD and 180 AFD.

Comments:Dear Pascal
With interest I have read all articles about Hy6 and Leaf AFI.
Thanks for all effort.

I have still one question open : Is a leaf afi-ii 7 weatherproof, or dust proof, can you use it outside or only in a studio?

Best regards
Rob

I visited today to check your table listing the different Hy6/AFi firmware versions. I have a body with V 3.10 (instead of V 3.10a30 and wondered what the differences were. Also I was wondering if somewhere there was a list of lens firmware? This would be helpful too as the Hy6 reports the firmware version when connected.

Thanks,

Eric Hiss

Comments:Pascal, very grateful for the information provided, thanks.
Now a burning question, is all my 6006(mod2) gear including lenses now obsolete? Are you able to suggest how I move into digital with any of the above gear, or do I have to start again?
Thank you once again, and kind regards,

Peter

Thanks for a lovely site. It is great to find all this information in one place, and as someone who has done this for another topic, I know how much time it took!

Keeping this up is a great resource, and all of us Rollei owners are really grateful. I started with Rollei 6003 in about 1992, and have been adding lenses (!) since. Upgraded last year to a Hy6 and an Afi II7 and just so happy with this system. Glad you chose to share this with us!

Comments:Pascal,

Thank you for your wonderful resource. I have a SINAR Hy6, and several of the AFD lenses. I am looking to have my Hy6 updated as to camera body firmware and the changes that are spoken about to the focusing mechanism, that will require changes to the hardware. It is not clear to me what is being changed, what are the likely charges for the service and when the camera should be shipped. I live in Essex, Connecticut in the USA.

Any help that you might be able to give me in clarifying these questions would be much appreciated.

I would just like to say that I am very glad that I clicked on your link on luminous landscape. I didn't know such a well informed site for Rollei owners existed. I have two tlr's 3.5f & 2.8f, which I bought many years ago plus 2 x Integrals with wide selection of lenses. I aspire to get a HY6 in Your sithe near future.I am amazed at the amount and width of the information on Rollei products you have made available to us.
I shall call back again and again! Sincere thanks,
David Watson,

Comments:Hello Pascal:

Thank you for providing a service to fellow Rollei / Sinar / Leaf owners. I started with a Rollei 6008 AF and bought a few Rollei lenses to go with it. Initially the 6008 AF had the Phase P20 DB. Then I progressed to the Rollei Hy6 with the Sinar 54LV. Of course this camera thing is like a sickness. It is like taking some illegal drugs. From the 54LV, I went for the 75LV. Then a month ago, I went for the Leaf AFi with the AF7 back. I am very content with this.

I think the Rollei Schneider lenses produce images that are so color correct and very smooth. I hope to acquire a few more lenses in the coming years. Your webpage devoted to this is a big help.

Thanks again.

Gerry
