I found you on the web. when I was looking for information about Rollei lenses / Leaf Afi/ Hy6. And ended up at your superb site
I am located in Stockholm. I shoot mostly architecture
and work with a Leaf Afi II 7 on a Linhof Techno camera.
I would like to use a medium sized camera together with my Leaf back as well. The Leaf afi camera is
then the natural choice, and the only, as well as far as I know….
I have been offered to buy a Rollei 6008 camera system for almost nothing from a colleague. Together with
the camera comes three lenses. All equipment is from mid 90´s.
Tele Xenar 180/2,8 PQ HFT
Zeiss Distagon 50/4 PQ HFT
Zeiss Macro Planar 120/4 PQ HFT
My question to you is - are these lenses fully compatible with the Leaf Afi camera. Does the lenses work
ok together with my Leaf back? (Afi II 7). It may function technically on the body - but together with the Afi II / back? Quality??
Perhaps you know someone who has been working with these lenses and a digital back?
Sorry to bother you with this but Sweden is not a Rollei territory....

I love your Rollieflex pages site. It is highly informative. I just would like to know one thing (I tried to find your email address to ask you this directly, but your email address cannot be found anywhere)can the lens hood for the 110mm f/2 planar and 180mm tele-xenar be used on the 90mm apo symmar lens without any vignetting? I would appreciate it if anyone can answer my question. Thanks.

|Comments:||Thank you so much for the comprehensive information on the Hy6. As a new purchaser of this amazing camera I have referred back to this site many times. The learning curve is significantly shortened and you have my sincerest gratitude.|
|Comments:||Can you clarify whether it is helpful to update the LENS firmware? Do the lenses have firmware? I own the 50 AFD, 80 AFD and 180 AFD.

With interest I have read all articles about Hy6 and Leaf AFI.
Thanks for all effort.
I have still one question open : Is a leaf afi-ii 7 weatherproof, or dust proof, can you use it outside or only in a studio?
|Comments:||Thanks for a very useful resource. I often search for something related to the Rollei 6008 or Hy6 and end up here :)|
|Comments:||Thank you for putting together all the information on the rolleiflexpages website!
I visited today to check your table listing the different Hy6/AFi firmware versions. I have a body with V 3.10 (instead of V 3.10a30 and wondered what the differences were. Also I was wondering if somewhere there was a list of lens firmware? This would be helpful too as the Hy6 reports the firmware version when connected.
|Comments:||Pascal, very grateful for the information provided, thanks.
Now a burning question, is all my 6006(mod2) gear including lenses now obsolete? Are you able to suggest how I move into digital with any of the above gear, or do I have to start again?
Thank you once again, and kind regards,
Thanks for a lovely site. It is great to find all this information in one place, and as someone who has done this for another topic, I know how much time it took!
Keeping this up is a great resource, and all of us Rollei owners are really grateful. I started with Rollei 6003 in about 1992, and have been adding lenses (!) since. Upgraded last year to a Hy6 and an Afi II7 and just so happy with this system. Glad you chose to share this with us!
Thank you for help in clarifying how to update my SINAR Hy6.
Thank you for your wonderful resource. I have a SINAR Hy6, and several of the AFD lenses. I am looking to have my Hy6 updated as to camera body firmware and the changes that are spoken about to the focusing mechanism, that will require changes to the hardware. It is not clear to me what is being changed, what are the likely charges for the service and when the camera should be shipped. I live in Essex, Connecticut in the USA.
Any help that you might be able to give me in clarifying these questions would be much appreciated.
I would just like to say that I am very glad that I clicked on your link on luminous landscape. I didn't know such a well informed site for Rollei owners existed. I have two tlr's 3.5f & 2.8f, which I bought many years ago plus 2 x Integrals with wide selection of lenses. I aspire to get a HY6 in Your sithe near future.I am amazed at the amount and width of the information on Rollei products you have made available to us.
I shall call back again and again! Sincere thanks,
Excellent content. Is there any way you could mention what is updated when you do post the dates of the most recent update?
Thank you very much for your effort!
Thank you for providing a service to fellow Rollei / Sinar / Leaf owners. I started with a Rollei 6008 AF and bought a few Rollei lenses to go with it. Initially the 6008 AF had the Phase P20 DB. Then I progressed to the Rollei Hy6 with the Sinar 54LV. Of course this camera thing is like a sickness. It is like taking some illegal drugs. From the 54LV, I went for the 75LV. Then a month ago, I went for the Leaf AFi with the AF7 back. I am very content with this.
I think the Rollei Schneider lenses produce images that are so color correct and very smooth. I hope to acquire a few more lenses in the coming years. Your webpage devoted to this is a big help.
|Comments:||Hi Pascal, I am a real Rollei fan and I hope they will be around for a long time. Please contact me to let me know what your thought's are about their future. Thank You,John.|
