I have really enjoyed visiting Bastard Nation and it's differant sites. Recently I found all of you and drop by ever so often. The validation of the real pain many of us have felt and suffered through life because we're adopted has been strengthening to me, thanks to all of you're honesty. My adoptive mom is failing in health now, at 74 years old. After being a caregiver to my adoptive dad for 13 years, he passed on in October 2000... It's now my mom's turn for care. This time I am unable to to be the caregiver, and now the family is telling me I've abandoned her and how ungrateful I've been for what they did for me... Does it hurt yes, of course there is an Aunt waiting in the wings to take the money because now she is looking after my aging mother.... I knew where I stood in this family for years... Now they're showing the truth... As they use to tell me "I was someone else's problem" So any dysfunction on their part was my fault.... I guess what I'm trying to say is I shoved off the lies and have moved on.... Thanks for giving me a forum to share! To all of you! Thanks for listening. but i never signed anything sorporting the adoption .... she was born sept.25 1984 birth name sheena marie geer. state of mass.city springfiend..i was told her last name was changed to crogan but that was not correct but i was close..how ever no won will give me the right name .... |
