Bought Boss Tres Bien around 1962 as a then 20-year old. Recently resurrected the lp, spun it, was BLOWN AWAY by Jeter. And then to discover he is still going STRONG 50 years later, with his brothers, no less. How very sweet is that. Love it, love it. Would really like to have a personalized and signed pic of Jeter PROUDLY displayed in my music room. Fabulous, fabulous. Tres bien, mes amis. Just superb. All those years....

Larry Hed and I had our first date listening to your Jazz in St Louis in a tiny bar in Gaslight Square. I was a 20 year old farm girl who had recently become an RN. I had never hear a note of Jazz before going to the club you were playing in. Your music left me with a life time love of
Jazz and a husband. Out of that first date came two beautiful daughters, Elizabeth and Connie who are both Jazz lovers. I have looked for you for years and would love to hear you play live again almost 50 years later! | |

I can't remember when I first got the album with "Boss Tres Bien" on it but it has been one of my favorites for years. I had an old vinyl recording and would love to buy a CD of the album if it existed. I tried to find out about the Quartette long before the internet and finally talked to a music professor at one of the St. Louis schools. He knew Jeter and told me he still played at one of the clubs. I hope I get a chance to see him play again one day.

So many things I could say, but you obviously, based on what I heard, know them all (and I'm learning them). I have loved your music from the first time I heard you play in 1976/1977 at your sister's (Pastor Patricia T. Whitelocke) church at a special concert.
