| Comments: | Had the pleasure again to attend the annual Patton School/Masonic Homes Alumni weekend get together. My wife and I have made it a 'Must attend' date. Everyone had a great time and even though only a few of my era were in attendance, it doesn't seem to be as big a consideration as I used to make of it. It has become a 'PS/MH' family type gathering and is what you make of it. Next year I will plan in advance to contact as many of 'my years' guys either by e-mail, snail mail, or by phone. So here's my past 44 years: Army, architectural detailer (Thanks due to the Philadelphia Masonic Lodge job placement fellow.), BS degree, schoolteacher, MRC degree, disability counselor, retired at 55 when wife fell causing permanent head injury limitations that needed daily monitoring. We have a 23 year old son. Our finances are great and we live in a Red Bank McMansion. Unfortunately, Eve's injury really puts a cramp on what we can enjoy doing. I spend a lot of time reading on-line, that's how I found this site. |

My mother, Florence Higgins, lived from 1914 to 1992. Her younger sister Fern (as far as I know) last lived in Davis, CA. I do not know if she is still alive. Their older brother, Adelbert C. Higgins, a decorated veteran of the Battle of the Bulge, died from injuries sustained in a Chicago hotel fire around 1953. |

| Comments: | Daryl found me at our boys baseball picnic and, by chance, we were talking about our local educational system and he starts speaking of living in Elizabethtown and the differences between here (Coatesville) and there. At first, I wasn't going to ask him where in E-Town did he live, but I did and to my amazement he said "The Masonic Homes". After I picked my jaw up off the ground, I said "ME TOO"! He persuaded me to attend this Saturday's picnic and after thinking about the meeting with Daryl - it seems too much of a coincidence to miss it. Call it whatever you want, but a graduate from 87 and 73 from the Homes, living in the same town, with boys on the same ball team seems almost unbelievable. I've missed many a picnic and I guess its just someone's way of telling me I need to go. |

Left college after two years, joined the Navy to attend Navy Nusic School, Washington DC, was recruited and accepted by Navy Sea Chanters, a unit 0f the U. S. Navy Band, stayed nineteen years, got married, retired MUC/USN in '78, had a daughter b. Oct. 24, 1980. After Navy became piano tuner/technician, which I still do. I am now 66 yrs. old, More info on demand.
Please, if you can, forgive me for falling out of your lives for so many years, but you must know that we didn't have the internet to look up what we needed to know to find each other. reunions .I'm a car dealer in slower lower Delaware and it is not easy to get off on a Saturday. I remarried 11 years ago and have an 8 year old son.Some of my classmates from 58 probally have grandchildren older than him. Anyone gets to Sussex County Delaware call me I'm in the phone book. |

| Comments: | using my webtv unit which is not a computer, I managed to access the web page. it looks great Daryl, it took someone like you to launch it. by the way, I worked in phila.37 yrs. for bell pa const., engineering and accounting. retired at their suggestion in 1985. got a 'golden handshake' i am still working part time as a maintenance mechanic and enjoy the job. rich bowman |
