I am still not ready with it, but got som other things done on my car mean while. It is now fitted with an Eaton Kompressor, disc brakes in front and a 5-shift gearbox and runs like a dream! I have never heard of the gearbox conversion until I talked with you over the mail, and bought a kit from Angloparts in Belgium. I'll keep you informed of what happens to the car! Rice Tuesday, July 29th 2008 - 11:08:34 PM gary.rice@worldnet.att.net The 18th Annual British Car Show, sponsored by the Central Coast British Car Club was held Sunday, July 27th, 2008, from 9:00 to 3:00 at the Channel Islands Harbor in Oxnard, Ca. We had a beautiful day with cloud cover early and clearing before noon with temperatures in the 70 degree range. There was a wide variety of British car models on display totaling 145. The Austin Healey was the featured Marque, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Austin Healey Sprite. Rolls Royce was well represented, besides the Austin Healey's. Frazer Nash, Morris Minors, Mini's, race cars, Jaguars, MG's, Triumphs, Jensen's, Aston Martin's, an original AC Cobra, Sumbeam Tigers, Lotus, modifieds, Morgans, Bentleys were all displayed on the grass with a background of the yacht harbor. We had music, food vendors, Bagpipe band with Scottish Dancers, and various automotive related vendors. A good time was had by everyone with stories of finding a rare car that had been locked away for 15 or 20 years, and restoration nightmares discovering extensive rust. Many good remarks concerning the show venue and orginization. By all standards it was a very successful show.

I put a 3:54 differential in mine too. I looked at the Lempert option, but shipping to UK...? I took my time until I lucked onto one from an Austin Wetminster automatic. Good as new. And a 28% overdrive. Spin on oil filter too. 3 HD6s in place of 3 HS4s...easier to work on, more power and less fuel. Latter ones were rebuilt, former were nbg at all! Denis Welch cam....good stuff from DW, but pricey! Autumn rains at the moment...car in garage, but it does come out on salt free winter days. By the way - my 1972 Benz is finally back home after winter storage at a place called Auto Vault. I recommend them highly. It's run by a chap named Gary Shapiro. The beautiful lold Benz came back to me looking like a million dollars. My wife and I took it for short spin and filled the tank, $57 dollars of hi-test. Now to have the AC restored again.

The most enjoyable car I ever owned was a BN2, built in 1956, and purchased new. It was one of a handful of the last 100's imported to Canada, and had a close-ratio, four speed transmission with electric overdrive on third and fourth, thus, in fact, six speeds.
