The reality that we have been conditioned in is so unreal that it makes one cringe to think that he once accepted it. We cannot see beyond our backyard fences. Beyond my backyard fence reality flows through the farmland all the way to the Pacific some seventy miles west as the crow flies. When we understand that reality does not end at our backyard fence we are already in a different reality. The ego shrinks to its true insignificance when we see the vast spread of the world beyond our limited vision. And, seeing is not that hard to do once we realize that we don’t normally see. It seems like a fertile ground for amplification of everything that is good and bad about the media as it exists today. Man has become very much like a machine and continues to prompt the development of more machinery to help process everything as it relates to the convenience of living. What about the convenience of learning? Time goes fast learning goes so slow. What wisdom can be gleaned from a machine? When one drives a car well, there is a sense of satisfaction and glee in the sense of almost effortless deliverance of one's body from one distant place to another. Yet when one crashes into a tree, say at sixty miles per hour, the sceneraio changes due to the intervention of natural laws. What natural laws govern the unbridled transmission of information occuring at hte speed of light in a world that contains beings that cannot decipher simple algebraic equations due to the lack of propoer education? Can we go forward and backward at the same time? Will the History of Media come to a close in 2014?

You're a coyote of amazing talent. "Her" is simply beautiful. The last line "angels sing before she dies" has stayed with me since the first time I read it many moons ago. "Sleep" is thought-filled. Thoughts I'm not willing to think about yet, but so beautifully written. The way you personify "sleep", making it a female entity, is very cool. "Corner Boy" is sad, but reality based. I like the repetition of the lines "passing cars / he'd never own" and the final line "going nowhere" says much, sadly. There are loads of word combinations I love in this one. I can't name them all here, but this one "boy in a river of flowing machinery" and this one "perfume of wealth" and all of stanza 5 are perfect. You have such a unique perspective in the ways of the world and an amazing gift of putting those perspectives into fine lines of poetry at its purist. "Speak To Me" has been one of my favorites of yours since the first time I read it. It still brings a lump into my throat, and prickles down my spine when I read it. Hauntingly beautiful. I could easily imagine myself travelling on that bus with the darkened windows and the rivers of lights passing by. The longest bus trip I have ever taken was between Toronto and Hamilton Ontario, a distance of about 45 miles, back when I was in 10th grade. It was during the war and I remember that there was a soldier travelling on the bus who started talking to me. He told me that he was broke and needed money to get back to his army base. From the Acadians we get a contraction of the name to Cajuns. Hence, The Venerable Warty LaHog, oops LaHoof is a Canadian. Being a Canadian this makes me proud for he is a lovable, likeable character, and I look forward to Chapter 12 and wonder if La Wart will speak, in his great wisdom of the changes happening in our world. In case one were to get the idea that David Coyote not only talks to himself but writes emails and posts in his Dream Book to himself. It has been an enjoyable visit with Warty and your wit and humour dear brother.
