The DISCUSSION BOARD seems better suited for this type of chatting. I think it really detracts from the purpose of the storyboard. "It's not like I'm submitting great stories to improve quality round here." Well, whether you write or not, or just comment, you help. Not everyone was born to write, but some do. When you praise someone for a good story, it really encourages them to do it again. (really!!! we're all narcissists -- at least I am.) This is your first comment I can remember! THANK YOU. (love you, Janie) "I wish I was blessed with the imagination and creative writing skills required, but I wasn't." I get some of my best inspiration from my BF, because (1) he accepts me for being myself, which is sometimes not pretty and (2) he never accuses me of being a total perv, even if I am. I think a lot of guys have much more active imaginations than you would ever imagine, though. Some of the things they tell me AFTER A FEW DRINKS, OR IN BED are out of this world. (I mean really -- I'll tell you this dream Jimmy my crush in HS told me back then -- in a separate story.) Plus sex that they ask for!!!! (Why do guys always want to stuff it up your butt? Don't they KNOW it hurts?) OMG, what a bunch of pervs!!! (Don't you think most women are too shy to ask a guy to go down on them, for example, of what we never talk about, even if that's what we want?) People get some really wild ideas, but it's like sex, the same old menu gets boring pretty fast -- even if it was exciting when you were 16! | Message: | Hmmmm, well, the more specific you can be about stories, the more helpful it is. I like Stories by Drew***, for example, yet Dan is so far behind you can't find many of these very entertaining stories anywhere. That's a problem only Dan can fix, since he does Archives.
My guess is that there are roughly submitted but unarchived stories for about three more 75-100 story archives -- Archives 14, 15 and 16. If we can get Dan to do any of those, it will help. I know the quality of stories I write various quite a bit. Most of the ones I've written lately have been pretty bad. :( Oh well... I try. It's like my boyfriend, he gets upset when I don't deliver but we never go out... it seem. OK just kidding... I think the biggest problem we have is we're not getting our great stories up into recent archives. There's at least two years -- and I think it's coloser to three years worth of stories that aren't up. One last point: I've never written a single true thing here, that is a real story. Like I told Andrew, I'm a total fraud and a perv. Although I daydream about sex all day long (and most of the night), in reality, I'm just a very nice, passive shy girl. I'm a complete phony, if you think ANYTHING I write is real. (I lie to the guys and work too, cuz they think I'm hot... so there.) ***and Cookie, Emma, and the Controverser and...and... It's always been obvious a lot of the "true stories" on here are erotic fantasies, but some of them have recently taken a turn to the preposterous. I was raised both Catholic and Protestant cuz my dad was catholic and mom was a presbyterian. We alternated going to church and mass. Our town had a priest who would say mass in four or five towns on a circuit. Father Danial would start Saturday night, and say mass in one town, and get to ours to finsih up on Sunday around noon. I liked that cuz I could sleep in later. I also hung out with my friend Jimmy at "Church" -- Presbyterian of course. We would go and listen to the Pastor for the first fifteen minutes or so, until they ushered us kids out to Sunday School. While we were in church, Jimmy and I would play around. No, he didn't stick his hands up my dress!!! (We were in church -- shame on you. At least not yet that is.) We did other things, like make fun of the pastor, and giggle and whisper while he gave the sermon, and tell funny things until he got mad. One of the worse thing we did was play around with the little holders for the "wine" glasses after communion. In mass you would do communion every day; in church it was only like once in a while, so it was special. More people came on communion days. I liked mass cuz I got to drink wine. In Church all you got was a little grape juice, so hey... if I'm a drunkard now, it's cuz of my Dad... lol Alright enough, back to my story. I was sitting around with my love Jimmy and all the other little kiddies in the front row, reserved for us. We were doing our usual thing, teasing the pastor and making a fuss. Jimmy was really good at snapping these little rubber grommet things where you put the communion glasses in the back of the pew in front. They were little round holes with this rubber grommet inside it, that you left your glass in, after communion for them to pick up. Now, all us little kiddies had to go to chruch when they had communion -- the full thing I mean -- the entire one-hour service. So we'd get really bored cuz communion was at the end. So while we were bored, we amuzed ourselves. What Jimmy did REALLY WELL was snap that grommet back and let it go, so it made a very loud sucking noise, like "ssssmmmmmuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuccccccccccccccccccckkkkk." So in the middle of the sermon, Jimmy snapped the grommet really hard. It was just at the time (wrong time) the words of the Pastor were reaching the apex of his sermon, and someone laughed, I mean one of us kids. Then we all did, it was uncontrollable. We were just kids. Well, you guessed it, the pastor got flustered and all red in the face. A few of the adults laughed too, probably cuz us kids were funny. My mom was sitting four or five rows back, and she didn't think it was funny, though. She came running up the aisle to the kiddie row, and sees me and Jimmy talking -- I was laughing you know, so she grabs me by my hand and starts to pull me up. I looked at her in shock, and said, "but Mom I didn't do it." Oooops, wrong this to say.... She practically dragged me by my arm all the way down to the lobby or entry, whatever you called it, atrium as I turned pale. "I don't care" was all she said... and I knew I was gonna get a spanking.
