I tried to send this email privately to your email address but it bounced back.. I noticed your inaccurate and mean-spirited comments on SpaceJunky's youtube videos, and I am going to ask you politely to remove those postings as they are completely wrong if every respect. If you've bothered to read about SpaceJunky you know that they are noted career professionals that have not only recorded their own cd, but have played on world tours and hit recordings by other artists as well. They go out of their way to explain that because of the limitations (20 to 30 second delay between here and Sydney and Kuala Lumpur) it is not possible for them to "play live" together on the internet so they have chosen to simulate a live concert experience in SL....hence the term SecondLife as opposed to real life webcasting. Further to the point, it is no one's position to judge what they do or how they do it since there are many versions of music performances in SL...to tracks...or whatever...and it doesn't matter as long as the audience likes it...which they obviously do in SpaceJunky's case. No one even cares that they are playing their recorded cd to SL shows...it's a fact they've stated over and over at their concerts and on their websites as well...so it's a non-issue and not a subject for debate. Your train of logic would also mean if no one is actually on a real stage at the time actually "playing live" then it's really done from your bedroom and not really a "live" performance either. Anyway, all that is academic anyway because they make the nature of their performances totally clear, and they ARE running their avatars, contrary to what you think....and Shakti is actually talking and interacting live with her audience....which is frankly no one's business or concern in the first place. The point is that for some reason, you are disturbed by their success and somehow think it's in your best interest to attack them. Trust me, it is not in your best interest for karmic reasons alone, and I take extreme offense that you are on some mission to post negative comments about SpaceJunky which are completely not true, and libelous. Plus, it only makes you look bitter. I feel no need to qualify SpaceJunky, but you should know these are some of the best musicians I have ever worked with...and that's a LOT including Nashville, NY, LA, the UK and Australia over 3 decades in my own case ( I'm a bit older than them)....and, more importantly, they are the nicest people on the planet and would never dream of critiquing someone elses' music or methods, such as yourself. Everyone has the right to their opinion, but you are posting contradictions to facts, and I want it to end, and I want you to be a responsible human/ fellow musician and retract your negative comments. I don't even like having to respond to them publicly, so once you remove them I'll remove mine as well. Peace. We try to be supporters of all people in the music business because we all know it isn't easy....unless of course they are infringing on someone's rights. In my experience it helps to not make enemies because sooner or later we all seem to cross paths, and unless someone is overtly trying to cause damage or problems it's so much easier and better to just get along. One thing we are reminded by working with Tibetan causes is that compassion and understanding is always the best path, so I'm trying to restrain my response to you in an effort to put this recurring issue to rest once and for all, for everyone's peace of mind.
