Assuming you can read, my reply to your message was on Saturday June 21st 2003 9:05:43 AM. - Ante Meridiem, ie the time from midnight to midday. Maybe you are suggesting I replied to you before you even sent the message!! Get your facts straight before entering into a discussion you jam fool or you risk making yourself look stupid in front of all those reading your messages. Anyway I believe this site to be for posting messages in relation to cricket, not to personally attack those who wish to make a valid contribution. Unless you have something relevant or interesting to say about cricket I suggest you find a message board where you can improve your knowledge of the English Language. As far as I am concerned this topic is well and truly closed.

Comments:The Laws of the Gentlemans Game of Cricket sem to have been completely ignored by Lowdham when they used two ringers to improve their chances to get into the second round of the cup. Gentlemen do not cheat and if they cannot play by the rules they should pay the price for their actions and be removed from the cup. If a team cannot win on its own merits then they should not be able to rely on the skills of outsiders. Matters like this shouldnt be swept under the carpet and neither should messages like this, which i suspect are being censored and kept off the list. Lead by example, show others that unfair play will not be tolerated and remove them now.

Comments:Peter. For once your stats are awry. Keyworth were slung out immediately, on the guilty until proved innocent rule, that evidently applies to all clubs bar Lowdham. Once the true facts were presented, the League treated the Calverton charge with the utter contempt it deserved, and put KCC were back in the Cup. And they made the final if memory serves. Let's hope Caribs get similar justice.

(Funny handshakes and all) I also remember the Keyworth incident when poor Toby White was made the scapegoat despite having played for Keyworth a number of years. Not his fault he had been living in Hong Kong for half the summer. But I do recall that Old Man Sheps threw them out of the cup without the blink of an eye, but now his mates in Lowdham have done it, not even an investigation. Why no official league statement on this contentious subject ?. Your silence remains deafening and the cup for this year may aswell be put in Lowdham Post Office now. Hope your all satisfied in making a laughing stock of yourselves, because that's what this league is becoming. Sssssssssssssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..................

His name is Henderson Jordan he scored 50 runs kept like Chris Read and won the match single handedly, unfortunately he plays for Retford in the Bassetlaw League. They then have the cheek to come on this messageboard and defend their actions!!! Lowdham are cheating scum who should be expelled from the league. That fact of the matter is that Lowdham (Mix), which included four 2nd XI players, played well and the Caribs didn't - It really is as simple as that. If you can't stand losing then don't play. Comments:It is not the first time that Salad Cream has done this either. On a previous occasion he was banned for the season and clubs were expressly asked to inform the League if he was seen playing for anyone. He turned out under the assumed name of Imran Khan (!) and we informed the League who told us they could not get anyone down to verify this, but to take video or photographic evidence and they would deal with it. We did take photographs and passed them on to the League who after several months had still not dealt with the situation, but eventually said that he had only been banned until the end of May (complete bull) and that the photographs that they themselves had requested were an invasion of privacy and could not be used as evidence. A complete whitewash and expect the same outcome this time. Such a pleasant chap as well. ;-)

Comments:Dennis under League Rule 11a it states that a club may have only 1 player per season specially registered who may play in any of the 3 cup competitions. I take it that Henderson Jordan and Salim Karim therefore do not constitute 1 specially registered player !. It looks to me like the league has lost the plot with what is fair and what isn't. Don't tell me that Lowdham Cricket Club could not get 11 players together out of two teams that play on a Saturday. If they only had 9 0r 10 then they should play with 9 or 10 registered players. Not get ringers to cost of Caribs who have done nothing wrong, and have been turned over at the expense of a bunch of cheats. If that is the state this leagues has got to, it might aswell wrap up now. To make Caribs pay £20 of hard earned club funds for you clowns to mull over what is obvious, is equally a disgrace. Shame on you Dennis.........................

Comments:Dennis I would just like to defend my good friend Salim Karim on these appalling allegations of cheating. What he lacks on public relations as a waiter, he more than lacks in the bowling department. He is the only guy that thinks he is quick, and he has got to be one of the biggest pie throwers in 1C when playing for Thrumpton. It was up to the Caribs to make hay whilst he threw his pies down, and they didn't do it.
