| Comments: | I discovered LJS, when I was a freshman in highschool. That was nine years ago, and I have read and re-read all of her books at least three times each. They're wonderful! I don't think Strange fate is to be the last in the series, I think it will show us who the fourth wild power is, and then save the final showdown for the last book. It would seem to rushed if everything happened in Strange Fate, and from what I have seen of LJS's style in writing, it's that she's anything but rushed when she's writing, she'll take her time and make it perfect. |

| Comments: | hi, i'm glad to see lj smith posts are still up to date! to answer everybodys questions, i like all of her books and i still read through them today, about 6 yrs after i discovered them all (i've read some parts of some of them 30 times over!!!). i definitely think she's done for teens what jk rowling did for both teens and adults today. Her writing is well thought out like that of jk rowlings and her characterization captures the spirit of modern day teens like pride and prejudice did the hearts and minds of those living in poor jane austin's time! Somehow, I don't think these books are as mainstream as they should be, but one day i'd hope to see them turned into movies the way that x-men and lord of the rings both were! she definitely is a wonderful writer! |

Dark Visions is awsome!!! I've read all three books and so have my friends.We found the first two books in our scholl library,but not the third.It took us an extreamly long time to find the third book but then we got it as a gift. It was well worth the wait. I'd recommend anyone to read Dark Visions . If you decide to, make sure you know where you can get all three before you start reading. If you don't you may just go crazy like we did.Bye!!! |

I just can't wait for Strange Fate to come out and I hope that even though it is the last in the Night World series it is not the last book she writes. Any ideas on how Strange Fate will end since when she started it 5 years ago it was supposed to be about the end of the millenium? | Comments: | It's weird, I picked up Heart of Valor on the $0.25 rack at some used bookstore because I love hardbacks and the summary looked really good. I read it and fell in love instantly, reading it over and over again. It took a while for it to occur to me that I should look for its prequel. You could probably guess my astonishment to find out that Night of the Solstice is a rare and very expensive book! I'm a cheapskate by nature, so dishing up $200 for a decent hardback is really eating away at my soul. But I really want this book! A very nice one so that I can read it over and over as well! And just curious, does anyone know if L.J. was planning to write a sequel to Heart of Valor? I just thought that the way it ended left room for more adventures. =) |

I started reading L.J.Smith books last October when I picked up'Dark Visions - The Strange Power', off the shelf of the school library.I read it in one night. It took me a month to find the follow ons for it but I was absolutly amazed at how much I loved it.When I finished that trilogy I went on to searching for the other L.J.Smith books. That's when I started to be a major fan. Living in England, it's hard to find books by american authers but I won't stop searching until I've read all the others! I've read all the vampire diarys, all the dark visions, three of the nightworld books so far and I now know where to buy the secret circle trilogy. If anyone thinks they can tell me the best book so I can read it, please do. There isn't one L.J.Smith book I havn't enjoyd. I'm going to write my own book soon in honor of L.J.Smith and she's the one I want to thank for my passion of writing. I think she should carry on 'The Daughters of Darkness,' for I think it was a great story. The same goes for 'Dark Visions'. L.J.Smith's books have changed my life. I was never really into the supernatual creatures of the night, but now it's all I ever talk about. I think this site is great and really explains her books. However as soon as i read one of her night world books, i asked my library to buy another 6 just so i could read them and they did. after reading all them twice i have recently found the forbidden game books 1, 2, and 3. I am now half way through the second book. I have a big imagination and the things she writes about are just how i eould like it to be. The way she describes her charactors and the eyes, it leaves me thinking for hours, imaging their looks, wishing i was inone of these stories. I love Lisa Jane Smith books. I've read The Secret Circle, The Vampire Diaries, The Forbidden Games, The Possesed and most of the Night World books. I just can't put them down.
