the fact that you draw your own pictures to go with your great, spiffy writing is very, very inspiring! because i like to do the same thing! i am doing a kind of story board thing for Lily and James to go to the MOULIN ROUGE LOVE SONG MEDLEY. | Comments: | By Any Other Name is the best Snape/Lily I've ever read. Plausible (once I got used to the idea that Snape hung out with Gryffindors), sweet, poignant, and not too badly out of character for Snape, reasonable for a young Snape, anyway. (I admit to a core belief that Snape prefers men, so a het Snape fic has to do a lot for me to like it!)

Hi! This uneven behavior of Allen's is very much intentional. Allen is an unexperienced teenager who is overwhelmed by feelings. He is newly discovering that he might be bisexual- and that he's in love with two very different people-and he's hurt Dryden and gotten him in major trouble. Allen feels guilty and angry and confused and in love. Unfortunately he is not naturally self-reflective the way Eries and Dryden are. He has too much pain in his past that he has been denying for years to have solid self-anaylzing skills. Without the disiplined ability to self-anaylze he reverts from thinking back to feeling. And now he is discovering that when things go badly that there can be only a thin line between love and hate. It's the sour grapes effect. (I love you, I can't have you. Nevermind, I hate you.) However, I tell my stories from first person point of view- which means that the reader never gets an omnicient explanatory point of view. It allows me to clearly show a character being wrong from his/her own perspective. When Allen is feeling confused and acting irrationally, then the thoughts in his yellow box are strange and confused. Allen doesn't realize his behavior is wacked out right now. But it is. His feelings are flopping around like a fish. Now he loves, now he hates. In the series it seemed to me that Allen had serious problems in understanding his own desires and feelings. He never *really* wanted to marry Hitomi, not really. He didn't really love Millerna either- he didn't *want* to kiss her up on the tower. But he was always "in control". Or in denial. I wanted to show the roots of Allen's lack of understanding of himself. So hopefully it's not a plot hole, but a hole in Allen's heart. Allen's got *issues*. :) ~D |

In chapter seven in Boys will be Boys, Allen is very much regreting how hes acted towards Dryden, and admitting (to himself) his love for him. However, in the next chapter, hes saying how much he hates and loaths him again. Its somewhat confusing. I was just wondering if you could explain that. |

Stories all seem to be about falling passionately in love at first sight and having a grand adventure so it was mightily refreshing to find an author (and AMAZING artist) who turned the PEOPLE into the focused aspect of the story.
