boy, Jarrett who also has spina bifida, he was born January 19, 2000, we too have had a shunt revision, that was scary trying to find out what was the problem. All of his surgeries have been done at the University of Iowa Hosp and Clinics by Dr Menezes, he is a wonderful man who we refer to as our angel. he took the time to explain everything to us when we found out about our baby having Spina bifida and gave us hope that there coudl be better than the worst case scenario. you this baby is sure putting me to the test!!! I know just what you are going through.My son was born at 25 weeks he was 1 lb. 15 oz. that was almost 11 months ago he is now at 21 pounds! He has had over 8 different surgerys and he had a grade 4 brain bleed (Hydrocephalus) shunt put in 2 months after birth /removed shunt 2 months later/ and now we just found out the fluid is back again. We are going back to the hospital once again to put our 2nd shunt in . never alone in this. My name is Glenna Seibert and I am 21 years old. I, too suffer from Spina Bifida. I'm very fortune to not have many limitations. I owe every day to the one true help in my life. That's God. Every day I thank him for all that he has given me, even this horrible disease. It has helped to make me the person that I am today. I like who I am. I don't allow my disease to get in the way of my life. I am a full time student working on my 4yr degree. I am also a full time worker. My mom visited with your mom at Mandy (Bethann's neice) wedding and told me about your family and this page. Your kids are so cute. What an experierce you have had with Dillon.
