hey m.e.kerr.. i would just like to say im reading yoiur book Scott Free and it is beautifully written. i am a high school student and wish to one day become a part time writer. possibly write a few novels in my lifetime. i want to leave a ripple in the worlds ever expanding ocean, if you know what i mean. i was recently told that i explained too much in one of my world civ essays and that is why i got a poor grade. frankly, i think my teacher doesnt read enough books like yours. humbly, megs

Hi, I just wanted to tell you what a trip down memory lane it was tonight. I was sitting here looking for more YA books to order into my YA section of our store, and came across so many titles from my own youth. I am now going to have to find all your books that have been written since 1982 so that I can catch up on your newer works. I loved reading your books as a teen and have several still in my shelves. Thank you for all your writing and sharing with all of us.

I am teaching a summer book club class and we have read I Stay Near You. They girls and boys in my class loved and have written a fourth story(taking place in modern day New York) for the ending of the book. Where can we send them to you to look at? They were so excited to read this book and to add their own creativity to a story.

Now that my daughter is almost a teenager, she is reading some of the books I read at that age. I got out Dinkey Hocker for her, but before she could get her hands on it, my husband read it, loved it and was sad to see it end. It was his first taste of M. E. Kerr, and lucky him, there is so much more.

Since you signed my guestbook TWICE, I thought I'd read another of your books so's I could return the favor. Plus I really did like Night Kites. So I went to the YA section at the library and the only one of your books in was Gentlehands, so that is what I read. I didn't like it as much as Night Kites, 'cuz I don't really like subterfuge all that much, and I thought the ending was too ambiguous to fit in with the rest of the narrative. But it did make me think. I don't think Buddy should have turned his grandfather in, because what's the point? It's not going to benefit anybody, and the grandfather is not currently harming society. I do intend to review it on my site, but I've currently got a ridiculously large backlog as I just started college, which makes me busy. Thanks again for visiting my site, and thanks for the first time for writing the books in the first place.

Hi, I just visited this site, and I really like it. I didn't know who was M.E. Kerr, but because of the summer assignment, I found my favorite book called "Gentlehands" I just finished middle school, but in my recommendation, Ms. Kerr could visit to Springton Lake Middle School. In every year, there's a visiting author, and I think Ms. Kerr could be just right for visiting to my middle school. I'm not sure about visiting author in high school, but I know there is in middle school. Maybe, you could tell her about this or so. Thanks for reading.
