| Comments: | I'm a long time BBC Microcomputer 32K and Master 128 user ... and still play the old BBC stuff on my copy of pcBBC, which incidentally allows you to some degree to play M128 games and utilities.
I'm attempting to get the old ADFS welcome and utilities disk for the pcBBC emulator so I can finish a manual I am preparing, thus the disk, and its graphics can be screen-shot. If anyone knows where I can get it, please let me know! |

Are BBC computers worth anything nowadays? I have a Master 512 in near "mint" condition plus 14in Microvitec Monitor, modem, 5.5in (3 off with about 100 blank disks) and 3.5 disk drives, TV tuner (Sony), loads of business type software, about 25 manuals, mouse, monitor stand, same period Canon PW-1080A dot matrix printer with extra ROM for downloading extra fonts, etc. |

| Comments: | Neat site (could do with some more pictures) ... I was one
of those guys back in the mid eighties in Britain who worked on programs for the BBC TV Telesoftware system, supplying programs to those lucky enough to have a Morley Adapter and Teletext software. I wrote a Teletext editor back then. These days I go by the name of ORLOK and spend a considerable amount of my time finding and making materials related to the Acorn available (free) to users. Nice to see a site dedicated to the Master 128. Must get my own site written now ... |

| Comments: | nice site!!
I run a web site dedicated to restoring old computers people throw away, please drop by a give me a visit.
http://website.lineone.net/~dustbin2000/
I need your experience and comments, I'm getting loads of diy repair hints. I've got 5/6 Acorn A3000s people have left at the dump, and I was walking home from work in December and I got a BBC Master left for the dustman in the rain, which appears to be partly working, it has some light case damage, and half the keys dont work, as there is a crack in the keyboard circuit board. The basic roms seem to be mysteriously missing or never fitted. I just get the * prompt. 1/ does anyone have a dead Master in or around Portsmouth area with sound keyboard and good case shell? 2/ or would anyone like mine for free?? (pick up only) John H |
