| Please tell us about your dogs!: | My GSD is my retired Police K-9, as I retired in November of 2005 after 23 yeas as a police K-9 handler/trainer/evaluator here in Florida. My GSD, "Kitt" is an import from Slovakia and is the finest Police K-9 I've ever handled. He is dual trained as a patrol dog and a narcotic detector.
Prior to moving to Florida I was a State Wildlife Officer in Ohio for 17 years, and had a police K-9 for the last seven of those years |

Since I have had a trial of 4 life'rs Dal. one litter of Dalmations and now Pippen(Border Collie/Aussie cross less then 1yr.) and Dakota, who is my son's dog, who is also a cross between Shephard/huskie(2 yrs.), and the current #4 Dalmation (Dally)who is 9 years old. As you know our animal family consist of 4 horse, 1 goat, 1 goose, some chickens and too many cats. Oops you only wanted to know about the dogs. |

I have done all of the obiedience on her , she is completely off leash , walking sits , walking downs , heel recalls , halfway downs , halfway sits , sitting from a long down my dad says that one is one of the hardest! I am 13 years old and my first compatition was sundog with Jerry K. I thought it was great Bailey did ok on the obiedience but not to well in protection she has had mostly sleeve work , and never bitten a suit before . We now have one and she is doing much better , she has a much fuller bite. I train with my father and Troy Austin at Great Lakes K-9 training Center and Grooming in White Lk. Mi. I can't thank Jerry K. and Cheryl for bringing a youth division into the sport and giving me a chance . It took me awhile to understand and respect that personal protection is about obiedience and control of your dog . Our other dog is Brittnay my dad says that she is a lap dog but i don't think she is .

He has turned out to be a good flyball dog with help from Rude Dogs. He has been a total joy to work with. Twitch my bc/jrt mix has been different. She does not learn as fast but is very fast. She is 7 months. Panic is my new bc and he is 4 months. Hes a happy little guy who just wants to play flyball with the big dogs, but he knows hes not allowed. Briare is my bluetick who is 5 years. He is about to start flyball training. Briare enjoys a late late late evening stroll in the woods. |

We rec'd free basic obedience courses,(we took 18 in all), wasn't the right kind of training we needed. Luckily, I met Chris Fraize-Punchline Kennels, while he was giving a demonstration at the Kennel Shop in Sanford. Spoke to him at the demo, gave me alot of hope, we signed up with him that night! After 1 class, we noticed a difference. Both of us have come along way after 2 months! |
