I met you a couple years back when I made a trip "down home" and my cousin Roger took me to Memphis (I live in Idaho), laid on Elvis' bed on the Lisa Marie, then went to BB's club there on Beale Street.. I'd Never listened to the blues before.. you were there.. mid afternoon.. you sat with us, had a couple drinks with us.. and played for us.. OMG! I was speechless when I heard you start singing.. I have never heard papa don play live but I do have 3 of his CDs to listen to, all of which are great. Don tells me he 'may' be coming to australia in november 2004 so I may get to hear Don and the band play live. suggestion for site: full bio of Don including early influences, guitars and gear he uses/used over the years, sessions he has done over the years etc. the first time I heard of Don was on a john mayall album, then on the 'blues alive' video, then i read about him in (Blues Review mag??)having the residency at Rum Boogie cafe back in 90s.
