Comments:Dear China Report, the Chinese Theater has been watched and enjoyed by Millions of people all around Our World. And may it continue to do so for Millions more to see and enjoy the rich culture of China peformed by some of the best Artists here on Our Beautiful Planet.

While there are those that are trying to force change in the Theaters of Asia, while developing a style that will keep generations interested in the theater, in a Computer inviroment, never before is the importance of teaching through Theater and Opra needed, in order to keep the People grounded. I would hope that auspicious Theaters, such as the Peking Theater, would continue to bring hope, teaching and entertianment to the People that grace the Theater in Asia and around Our World.

The messages of hope and life, depicted by those wise and wonderful Artists on stage and conveyed to the People, are of true and vastley important value, in teaching that what history recorded remains as a guide, so that the bad things should not be repeated and the good things retained.

Best Wishes. Stuart

I just tried contacting you through your web site e-mail but I don't think it worked. Fortunately I have this address.

I just just wanted to let you know that I've completed my architectural design analysis of TSquare, and an outline design proposal which you may be interested in looking at. There are 4 research papers in all. Paper 3 Part 1 has the architectural drawings in it. Therefore the file, which is huge, is divided into 3 parts. You can find them all on my web site at www.geocities.com/jukeshughes/

(under Page 1: research papers)

Feel free to download a copy to read.

Many thanks for your input. I could not have even begun the project without your sat photo.

Best wishes, David

Comments:Your beautiful photographs of NanTang Cathedral in Beijing
made me recall my visits there.
In your very brief sketch of the history of Nantang,
it seems that Boxers and Taiping were used synonymously.
The seat of the Taiping government was in NanJing.
As far as I know the Taiping did not attack NanTang.

*** Doc Ben says: Kind Thanks Yuan Yu, you are entirely correct, however, we will upboost our report on NanTang shortly and correct the errors, after some more in depth research. I hope meanwhile you will enjoy the 2nd version of our report on The North Church of XishiKu, Beijing

As a note for all readers--> The Taiping Rebellion was the revolutionary forerunner of the 1900 Boxer Rebellion. The 1900 AD Boxers were a mystical society, rather than a pseudo-religious one as were the Taipings. The Boxers were spontanious and had no social or other plan for China's Future, other than to get rid of the Foreigners. The earlier Taipings were much better organised and had a political program for reform of the destitude country. The Taipings could have been quite succesful if it had not been for the Colonial Powers and homegrown Capitalists, feudalsetc. The TaiPings of +/-1860 and the 1900 Boxers have one main thing in common- their annoyance at imperialism and the carving up of China into spheres of Foreign Influence, resulting in the enslavement of the chinese people. Notably, this would later become one of the great attractions of the communist led revolution.

More will surely follow in our future reports!
