Your Legend: 3 days after the New York Disaster, my friends mum was in MacDonalds. The guy in front of her was 12p short for his meal. She gave him the money then ordered her own meal. while she was sitting down eating her meal, the guy, who looked eastern, says to her 'One good deed deserves another. Stay away from Chester'...

The woman fearing a possible bomb threat went straight to the police and indentified him straight away from a list of most wanted, and he was supposedly tied up with Binn Laden...

I also heard this story 3 other times with Macdonalds being swapped for KFC...

Your Legend: This is one of those "moral lesson" urban legends.
The time and place are indistinct and I don't believe that
any location was mentioned when I first heard it.

The elements: Bunch of young guys; excess quantity of
alcohol; out-of-the way area; two young lovers.

One time this guy, we'll call him Bill, was out partying
with some friends on a weekend. They lived in a suburban,
semi-rural area and there were a lot of out-of-the-way
places where people could generally go drinking with friends
without causing too much fuss or getting themselves in
trouble. This was one of those nights.

They're were doing "the usual," making the rounds of all the
haunts to see who was where and, of course, see if they
could meet some girls who might want to "party" with them.
They had no luck hooking up with any girls, and were sort of
settling in for a long night tailgating on their own.

As they drove around looking for an open spot off the main
road, they came across a lone car with the windows steamed
up. Knowing this usually meant that some guy was "doing"
his girl in the back, they sort of walked up to see what
they could see. When they got up close, it's not clear who
initiated things, but they all decided that there were 4 of
them, and only one of him, so they could do what they

Turns out they were right. After pulling the unlucky guy
off his girlfriend and beating him up pretty bad, each of
them climbed in to have a go with the young lady. They
were, after all, in the middle of nowhere and outnumbered
her date. So, each guy took a turn and as he finished, was
replaced on top of the poor girl by the next guy, until it
was good ol' Bill's turn.

Now, it seems that as Bill climbed on and settled in to take
his turn, he happened to get a look at the poor girl's face.
She was sobbing and had her sweater all bunched up around
her neck and face, but he got a good look at her, and she at

As it turns out, it was his sister. She wasn't even 16 and
was on the first date their parents had allowed her to take
by herself with this boy.

Your Legend: This is a legend that started in my city, here in Kentucky.
The cemetary that is in our town, has a statue of an old
lady standing. The statue is in the middle of the cemetary.
Well it is said that on Halloween at exactly midnight the
old ladies had turns halfway around causing her to face the
other half of the cemetary. People believe that she keeps
watch over each side for a year at a time.

Your Legend: Axe-Wielding Psycho in your Car

It was told to me, circa 1980, this way:

a man went to get in his car and found a little old lady
sitting in the back seat. She said she got into his car
because she was feeling ill, and needed a ride. The man
said OK, I'll give you a ride. I have to finish getting
ready to go, so just wait here & I'll be out in a few
minutes." The man called the police, who arrived quickly
and discovered the sick little old lady was sitting on an

The "modern" version is:

A lady stops for gas. The service station attendant tells
her her credit card is no good, and he has to cut it up.
Of course, the lady gets angry and starts arguing, and the
attendant tells her she has to come inside so they can
straighten it out. When she gets inside, the attendant
says "Nothing's wrong with your card, there is a man with
an axe hiding in your backseat."

Version 2:

A lady is driing and a man starts following her, honking
and waving wildly. She is scared and tries to lose him,
but he stays right behind her and keeps honking. She gets
home, her husband hears the honking etc. and runs out. The
man who had been following her jumps out of his car and
yells "Lady, get out of your car NOW!!!! A man with an axe
is in your backseat!"

Life imitates art.....Similar story but no visible axes

An 18-year old girl was going to 7-11 for cigarettes at
night. Her apartments' parking lot was very dark. She
opened her car door, but didn't get in cause she got a
"weird" feeling. Thinking she forgot to lock the front
door, she shut the car door and went back to check.
Finding it WAS locked, she went back out to find her car
door open again, and the neighbor whose car was parked next
to hers was standing there. He proceeded to tell her that
when he got out of his car, he'd noticed a man hiding in
her backseat and chased him away. The backseat was even
still warm where the man had been hiding.

(This story's true, it happened to me 13 years ago.)

Your Legend: Have you heard the one about the lucky friend?

Well there were these group of three girls who frequently
used to go out together.
Often the girls found themselves in mischief and resulting
one of the girls mothers would not let her daughter go out
that night.
The two other girls decided to still go out - without her.
They ventured about a couple of miles from home and because
they were possibly drunk and apparently did not have any
money, they could not get a lift home - so they had to walk.
The girls were found the next morning in a field they had
both been strangled with bailing cord. The police never
found the killer.
The girl who didn't go out that night was in a distressing
state of shock - yet you could say she was very lucky!

Sleep well...

It sounds much like the "toxic lady" story in the
urban legend archives (so is it a hoax or fact?):

Subject: WARNING

An article by Dr. Beverly Clark, in the Journal of the
United Medical
Association (JUMA), the mystery behind a recent spate of
deaths has been
solved. If you haven't already heard about it in the news,
here is what

Three women in Chicago, turned up at hospitals over a 5-day
period, all
with the same symptoms. Fever, chills, and vomiting,
followed by
muscular collapse, paralysis, and finally, death. There
were no outward
>signs of trauma. Autopsy results showed toxicity in the
blood. These
women did not know each other, and seemed to have nothing
in common. It
was discovered, however, that they had all visited the same
(Big Chappies, at Blare Airport), within days of their
deaths. The
health department descended on the restaurant, shutting it
down. The
food, water, and air conditioning were all inspected and
tested, to no
avail. The big break came when a waitress at the
restaurant was rushed
to the hospital with similar symptoms. She told doctors
that she had
been on vacation, and had only went to the restaurant to
pick up her
check. She did not eat or drink while she was there, but
had used the
restroom. That is when one toxicologist, remembering an
article he had
read, drove out to the restaurant, went into the restroom,
and lifted
the toilet seat. Under the seat, out of normal view, was a
spider. The spider was captured and brought back to the
lab, where it
was determined to be the South American Blush Spider
gluteus), so named because of its reddened flesh color.
This spider's
venom is extremely toxic, but can take several days to take
effect. They
live in cold, dark, damp, climates, and toilet rims provide
just the
right atmosphere. Several days later a lawyer from Los
Angeles showed
up at a hospital emergency room. Before his death, he told
the doctor,
that he had been away on business, had taken a flight from
New York,
changing planes in Chicago, before returning home. He did
not visit Big
Chappies while there. He did, as did all of the other
victims, have
what was determined to be a puncture wound, on his right
Investigators discovered that the flight he was on had
originated in
South America. The Civilian Aeronautics Board (CAB) ordered
an immediate
inspection of the toilets of all flights from South
America, and
discovered the Blush spider's nests on 4 different planes!
It is now
believed that these spiders can be anywhere in the
country. So please,
before you use a public toilet, lift the seat to check for
spiders. It
can save your life!

Your Legend: It goes something like this.

An investigation on an attempted suicide/murder.

A man tried to commit suide by jumping off a building.

He didn't realize there was construction going on and so a safety net was put up which he landed in.

He was dead when he hit the net.

They found he died of a shotgun wound.

On his way down he was shot from someone in the 5th floor.

They found out an old man had been arguing with his wife and was threatening her with a shotgun when he shot out the window hitting the falling guy.

when they went to charge the old man, he testified the gun was never loaded by him and it was routine for him and his wife to argue and he always waved the unloaded shotgun and threatened to shoot her, nothing ever happened before.

upon further investigation they found the wife had cut her son out of their will and he knew the old couple went through this routine and so thinking he could get rid of her loaded the shotgun.

in the meantime he was so distraught at being cut out of the will he attepted suicide.

it was he who was the jumper.

A man walked into a bath house, where men can have sex
through glory holes for the sake of anonimity. He has a

the wall to meet him outside. To his surprise, his son is

Your Legend: I first read this story in the Sunday section of the
Washington Post, maybe twenty-five years ago. Since then,
I've heard several variations of the same story.

This women & her husband had been looking for a house to buy
for several months. The women could not find any house
that met with her satisfaction. In the meantime, this women
had dreamt of theis one house for as long as she could
remember. She knew every corner of her "dream" house.

Well, one Sunday she and her husband were just driving down
the street and the wife screams "Stop the car!!" He husband
immediately pulls over to the curb and sees this house with
a for sale sign. His wife jumps out the car, runs to the
door and is greated by a real estate person who is showing
the open house. The wife runs from room to room knowing
every detail of the house. She then preceeds to tell her
husband (who has since followed her into the house) that
this is the house she has dreamnt of this she was a child.

The wife asks the agent, (who has been looking at her
suspiciously since she ran into the house like a crazy
person) how much the house is selling for. When the agent
replies the wife is dumbfounded because the house is several
thousand dollars cheaper than similiar houses in that
neighborhood. The wife ask the agent what's wrong with the
house for it to be selling so cheap. The agent replies that
the house is haunted and she has seen the ghost. The wife
then is somewhat fascinated by all of this and she asks the
agent well, just who is the ghost. The agent replies, "The
ghost is you!". Apparently for the many years this women
had dreamnt of this house she was actually really there.

Name: Being nude in your own home can cost you... for life!
Ever wake up on a hot summer night, and sleepily trudge to
the bathroom ... sans clothes? Well, if you don't go to
bed nude, you have little to worry about ... but for those
of you who sleep in the buff, beware! One glimpse of your
naked body and someone could put you in hell in an
instant ... for the rest of your life.

A young man did just that, waking in the early hours before
dawn, and stumbling into the bathroom across the hall from
his bedroom, and once finished, stumbling back again to his
bedroom. He never gave it a second thought, until a few
months later, during his divorce, when his stepdaughter
stated she had seen him ... naked. The ex-wife then
alleged that he was out to molest her daughter, and
therefore shouldn't have contact with the single natural
child they had together. The divorce/custody war began.

CPS came in and put the stepdaughter into sex abuse
counseling, and after many months, the allegation grew from
seeing him stumbling naked to the bathroom to touching
her. Then came the arrest. Relying on a public defender,
he pleaded guilty to one count of "indecent exposure." He
received and served probation, with registration to the end
of probation ... he thought (that's what his commitment
papers read). But when he relocated to be closer to a
better job, his ex-wife reported him for failing to report
the move as a sexual abuse predator. He was then indicted
on a felony for failure to comply with Megan's law. His
attorney managed to get the thing dropped due to the
misinformation and instructions held in his probation
papers. The court however, ruled that the probation papers
were wrong, and that indecent exposure fell under Megan's
Law and that he'd have to register the rest of his life...
(again ... for walking in the nude to his bathroom).
Later, the accusing stepdaughter recanted on record stating
that her mother had made up the touching incident, that she
had only seen him walking to the bathroom from his bedroom

A logical person would believe that everything would end
there ... but it didn't.

When he continued to try to get visitation with his natural
daughter, the ex-wife filed a response that he could not be
trusted with his daughter because of the him being a
registered sex offender. The court remanded him to the
local sex abuse gurus for testing. He underwent a
plethysmograph, an Abel Test, and a battery of mental
health testing ... and passed them all with flying colors.
The gurus who gave the tests are now saying that he is
in "deep denial" and therefore should attend a year in
their sex offender therapy class (remember ... for walking
nude to the bathroom), and supervised visitation only. Of
course if he attends the counseling he has to "admit"
molesting the stepdaughter (who recanted). If he does not,
he fails the counseling and is considered not amenable to
any treatment and therefore will be raised to a class three
offender ... with neighborhood notification.

This man has had full, sole custody of two other daughters
from a prior marriage. CPS attempted several times to get
these daughters to "admit sexual abuse" but they have
always adamantly stated that their father was a good dad
and never touched any of them inappropriately.

He now has run out of money. His family law attorney is
quitting (no pay). He wanted to know what to do. I
suggested that he get another attorney (one who is familiar
with false accusations and has trial experience), and an
expert witness to examine the raw data from the testing and
to give a non-biased evaluation, rather than rely totally
on the state whores who will lose the only employment they
can ever get (because they'd never make it in private
practice) if the don't validate the allegation ...
regardless of the testing results.

Now this costs money. And he doesn't have it. And he's a
registered sex offender for "indecent exposure" for walking
to the bathroom, half asleep, and in the buff.

These cases never cease to amaze me. We went from everyone
running naked in the sixties to this puritanical extremism
of the nineties. What happened to rational thinking?

Isn't Justice in America just grand?????

Please read the following carefully if you intend to stay
online and
continue using email:

The last few months have revealed an alarming trend in the
Government of
the United States attempting to quietly push through
legislation that
affect your use of the Internet. Under proposed legislation
the U.S.
Service will be attempting to bilk email users out of
"alternate postage
fees". Bill 602P will permit the Federal Govt to charge a 5
on every email delivered, by billing Internet Service
Providers at
The consumer would then be billed in turn by the ISP.

Washington D.C. lawyer Richard Stepp is working without pay
to prevent
legislation from becoming law. The U.S. Postal Service is
claiming that
lost revenue due to the proliferation of email is costing
$230,000,000 in revenue per year.

You may have noticed their recent ad campaign "There is
nothing like a
letter". Since the average citizen received about 10 pieces
of email per
day in 1998, the cost to the typical individual would be an
cents per day, or over $180 dollars per year, above and
beyond their
regular Internet costs. Note that this would be money paid
directly to
U.S. Postal Service for a service they do not even provide.

The whole point of the Internet is democracy and
non-interference. If
federal government is permitted to tamper with our liberties
by adding a
surcharge to email, who knows where it will end. You are
already paying
exorbitant price for snail mail because of bureacratic
efficiency. It
currently takes up to 6 days for a letter to be delivered
from New York
Buffalo. If the U.S. Postal Service is allowed to tinker
with email, it
will mark the end of the "free" Internet in the United
States. One
congressman, Tony Schnell (R) has even suggested a "twenty
to forty
per month surcharge on all Internet service" above and
beyond the
government's proposed email charges. Note that most of the
have ignored the story, the only exception being the
Washingtonian which
called the idea of email surcharge "a useful concept who's
