For many years I have studied, lived and taught the Course in Africa.I started in Kenya in 1987, later also taught in Botswana,in the Kalahari region, and ultimately in Ghana in West Africa. I found my students everywhere as He sent them.He even trusted me with group of teenagers one year. When that came up, I resisted. My resistance was no accepted and then I told Jesus: 'I will do it but I have no ideas, so YOU do the teaching!' As I had learned to channel what a group needed, at times also what He wanted to teach us directly during the beginning meditation, He did it. He gave us the teaching and the lesson for the week,and the children changed, and so did their environment.It wa an awesom experience. Now, the Book is still my refuge. Whenever I am out of balance, I ask Jesus to give me an answer, and I open the Book at random. HIS random for it always gives he straight answer to put me right. Brenda Gummere Tuesday, August 12th 2008 - 11:15:11 AM ggummere@cmh.net I am in my second reading of the Course. I am beginning to understand - at least this is what I try to assure myself of. My life has been blessed with so much Love this past year and a half and some extrodinary experiences. I try daily to understand and let go of myself. I understand this is what my life will be as long as I preceive any form of seperation. I have a long way to go but feel the presence of All often both in my waking state and in my dreams. The dream glitters and like a child I want so to just play with it. Consistency and focus seems to be my main problems - the lack thereof that is. I know eventually I will get it.
