Everybody were very pleased with all the workshops, and loved your dances. They all said that you are so much fun on the stage, a great teacher with lots of patience who wants everyone to have fun on the floor!! The dances, well: startin off with Need No Other - the easiest dance of the day, but still quite a task for the beginners. But they really wanted to get the hang of it, and with Maggie's encouragment they got it in the end! Headphones - Maggie's brand new dance thad she taught for the fist time with us. A very nice dance, that I feel is gonna grow on me to be a favourite. A good song and some really neat step-combinations - a good one, Maggie!! Stronger - just to dance to some Swedish music is a treat! We still struggle with the first 8 counts (what a start of a dance!), but we really want to make it, so we're going to hang in there. If we just get those, then everything will fall in place;-)!! Gimme A Chance - what can I say?! We're waltz-lovers, and this one's here to stay!! It's really flowing so well!! To finish off the day; Could It Be You. I've learnt this one before, and just love, love, love it. So I wanted everyone to get the chance to learn it. And there were thumbs up from everyone on the dancefloor after the teach. They love it as much as I do!! The hit of the day!! I hope to see you soon again, Maggier, wherever it is!! | Comments: | A big thank to Maggie for an excellent day in Uppsala, Sweden. It was really a day packed with a lot of Maggie's dances (new and old) and learning her latest dances! Maggie, you did such a great job teaching us the dances, always with a laugh and a lot of patience. Need No Other - not an easy task for the beginners, but they really wanted to get it, so you and they struggled on. Headphones - your brand new dance that you tested on us - the teach was perfect, and the dance feels really good, and will grow on me, I know that. Stronger - with a swedish singer and all! Quite hard first 8 counts, we really have to work on it to get it to flow. But will we try!!! Gimme A Chance - beautiful flowing waltz, everybody loved it and it will be a favourite ,for sure! Finally Could It Be You. I knew this one before, and I just love, love, love it. So I wanted everyone to have a chance to learn it, and there were thumbs up all over the dancefloor. Could you have not chosen a track from an album that is not over £25? Small classes and clubs have no chance of 'Staying Legal!' I have tried the Spirit of the dance website and they have not replied to four Emails. So I take it they do not even want to sell it. |
