I like your car i have the same one. My Accord is lowered and have 15" rims on the back and original rims from prelude 14" rims... My car is little fester then yours its top speed is 130mph, 8.5sec 60 MPH and 1/4 mile 16.7 at 92 Mph i set the redline at 7000 RPM and 8000RPM is the dead end, 6000rpm@125hp (if u guys dont believe me i can send u a pics) Im thinking about puting a turbo in it or bye a new car... | Comments: | I have had my 4 door 88 accord lxi, maroon with tan
interior since 1994. Bought it at 132k miles. NOW it has 287k ORIGNAL miles on it. Do you guys wanna know something? It still runs P E R F E C T !!!! Needs a clutch soon though and tires. I have retired it and will drive it as classic 20 years down the road. Until then I will let RAV4 run my errans. I live in Detroit Michigan and people here don't care for a foregin car like Honda Accord 4 door but I don't care. I remember being 12 years old when the 3rd generation was introduced and fell in love with it. To this day, I have not been attracted to the QUALITY and craftmanship of a car that was less than 18k dollars in its time more than my 3rd generation accord. The engine is still SOOOO sound and quiet. No vibration. Sorry guys but the newer accords are NOT this quiet and at 287k miles. PHLEASE ! I have not modified my accord. It is all original with minimal rust on underbody that I plan to clean out again this SUMMER (DAMN MICHIGAN SALT!). 3rd generation accord FOREVER ! YEAHHHH !!!! |

It is an automatic an I have a carburator engine in mine(A20A1)and I was talking to Justin with the turbo Hatchback and he told me I cant do any mods to my carb.engine.He told me the best thing I should do is save up an By a B20A1 motor from redshift racing and a stronger tranny. I look it up on the web an they are selling a B20a engine an auto tranny for $1399 so Thats wahat I am going to save up an get.Watch out for me on the streets its a 160hp at 6300 rpm. I also plan to put on headers exhuast and Intake after I get the B20a1 engine to bust my horsepower. |

pgm-f1 fuel injection? The Dx from what i could tell in the owner's manual was the only one with a carb. The manual for my car was specific to the hatchback, but the chilton's (make sure you don't get haynes') manual gave specs for both. The only mods i plan for mine in the future are a 1" drop, and maybe a strut tower brace and paint. I want to replace the amps in the car also. rock on man. Its great to see another third gen. accord page. we're the last of a dying breed. |
