Tony has one of the greatest voices I have ever heard on the radio. Tony is radio, like Scott Shannon at WPLJ in NYC, playing "Today's Hit's" which I call now Adult Contemporary. I like to keep up with today's music, lots of good talent out there. | |

Tony, I came across your station while I was trying out my new Grundig S350. Its very sensitive on AM and FM, but not a good SW receiver. Your station comes in great here in South Edison. Its a welcome sound on the weekends. We used to have some really great local AM stations back in the day - great music and lots of local news - WERA, WJDM, even WCTC (before it went with automated muzak) come to mind. Now only WMTR and you are left locally.

Happened upon your website. Thanks for the nostalgia. I went to Edison High (class of 65) and always wanted to be a DJ. Also went to the School of Broadcasting and Announcing in NYC, run by Mike and Alice Woloson, as you know. (whatever happened to them?) Made a few trips to WCTC in the 1960s when they were in the bank building (up a long flight of stairs); met with Bob Hughes the PD at the time. He told me to go out and get some experience before applying. I did. Spent several years in radio in NY state, PA and Washington-Maryland markets before going to chiropractic college. Never did get back to WCTC but remember it fondly (especially the school closing for snow announced by Jack Ellery, I believe). Congrats on your stint on 1450. I still get to do some radio once a week on KTYM 1460AM Los Angeles (ktym.com) Tuesdays at 9:00am Pacific on the Natural Health Report. Continued success to you, Tony, from another Jersey guy. | |

Hi Tony!!! Great web site. I found you when I was researching tramsmitters online. I am an electronic tech although now I am in a completely different field but always loved radio broadcasting and would like to talk to you about a career change to become a technician to help out you or any other chief engineer. I have always had an interest in this and I am just sorry that I have not persued it twenty years ago...but I guess it is never too late.
